Dayu cultural tourism area is located in the north of Wenchuan County and the upper reaches of Minjiang River. AAAA scenic area, covering an area of 2500 mu. History and culture

According to historical records, Dayu was born 70 Li west of guangrou County on the sixth day of June in 3376 BC. According to historical research, guangrou county is now located in Dujiangyan, Wenchuan, Beichuan and Maoxian. Dayu was a great flood control hero in ancient China and the founder of Xia Dynasty, the first dynasty in China after the three emperors and five emperors. As the birthplace of Dayu and the source of Dayu culture, Sichuan is rich in Dayu cultural tourism resources, and has great potential for the integration and development of Dayu cultural tourism industry. As early as the 1980s, Beichuan county organized the research on Dayu. According to the records of county annals during the reign of Emperor Qianlong, Beichuan people found historical sites such as Shiniu mountain and Yuxue Valley one by one in the deep mountains and gullies. In 2007, Beichuan held the 4134th anniversary of Yu's birth to Beichuan and the National Symposium on Dayu culture.

Wenchuan County began to build Dayu as a cultural tourism brand a few years ago, while excavating many relics of Dayu's hometown, such as "kuoerping, tuyushan, Yuwang Palace". Dujiangyan also invited experts and scholars to hold seminars and sacrificial ceremonies. He also held a memorial ceremony for Dayu's birthday and carried out academic discussions on Dayu's culture and Jiangyuan civilization. After the "5.12" earthquake in Sichuan, the image of Sichuan as the disaster area of earthquake disaster has been rendered by the media, which has left a deep impression on people all over the country and the world. However, as a tourist destination with beautiful scenery and rich customs, the terrain image has been seriously damaged. In the post disaster reconstruction, Dayu culture has become a major cultural and tourism industry project in Wenchuan County. The integration and development of Dayu cultural tourism is of great practical significance to the image transformation and tourism industry reconstruction after the disaster in Sichuan.

The Dayu culture tourism area in Wenchuan takes Dayu culture as the central theme, which is mainly displayed on the Dayu altar. Dayu altar is a tourism industry support project built by Zhuhai in combination with local culture and resources. Through the construction of the scenic spot of Dayu's hometown, Zhuhai helps to carry forward the spirit of Dayu and realize the goal of rebuilding the spiritual home in the disaster area. The project is divided into two parts: Yutai scenic area and Yuwang Memorial Hall scenic area, including the corridor, Dayu hall, Yutai, Dayu research hall, Yuwang hall, Notre Dame temple and other buildings. Dayu altar project, with a total investment of 44.06 million yuan, was started on April 1, 2010 and completed on July 17, 2010. It took only three and a half months to hold the first China Wenchuan Dayu Cultural Tourism Festival. The main engineering materials of the altar are all made of white hemp stone from Fujian. More than 140 train skins and more than 180 truck containers are used to load the stone. In order to ensure that the Dayu Cultural Tourism Festival and sacrificial ceremony can be successfully held on July 17, the Dayu altar project is basically operated 24 hours a day with three shifts on the construction site. The project management personnel assisted by Zhuhai stick to the construction site day and night. The statue of Dayu on the altar was carefully designed and made by the famous sculptor Ye Yushan.
