history
The ancient Silk Road opened by Zhang Qian is located at the south end of the Yellow River Bridge and the south section of Binhe Road in Chengguan District of Lanzhou, and Nanyang ancient Silk Road. When it comes to silk, you will naturally think of Suzhou and Hangzhou, just as when it comes to porcelain, you will think of Jingdezhen. In fact, before Suzhou and Hangzhou, there was an unknown silk town and porcelain capital, Nanyang. Only in the process of social development, with the entry of some new ideas and new things, the sericulture and ceramics industry here gradually declined from prosperity, and became history and memory.
Before the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Qinnan county (now Qinshui county) had two major commercial towns: Zhongcun town and Nanyang town.
Nanyang was called Zhaili in ancient times. Nanyang, from Jincheng to Kaifeng in the East, from Houma and Yuncheng to Xi'an in the west, from Han Dynasty to the end of Qing Dynasty, Nanyang has always been an important transportation route connecting Shanxi, Henan and Shaanxi, and an important birthplace of silkworm rearing, silk reeling and silk weaving in ancient China. At the same time, Nanyang is an important material distribution center from Kaifeng in the East, from Luoyang to Pingyang in the middle, and to Chang'an in the West. In ancient Nanyang, merchants from all walks of life came and went here. Some of them were trading here, and some of them were resting. So there were all kinds of cloth, silk, agricultural and sideline products and daily necessities. At that time, Nanyang town became an important business town on the ancient Silk Road with its superior geographical location and convenient transportation.
At that time, the commercial layout of Nanyang Village was summed up as: one garden, one hall, one supervisor, two auspicious, two harmony, two salt, three, three Gong, three Zhuang, four Guang, five Bu, one stove, eight shops, one line and one regiment.
