Lu Zhongsu Temple
Lu Zhongsu ancestral hall, or Lu Xiangsheng ancestral hall, is located at the South Bank of Changqiao River and the east end of dongzazhu Lane (Dongzhu Lane), Yicheng street, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, China. It is a special ancestral hall built in the Qing Dynasty to worship Lu Xiangsheng. It was built in 1687, the 26th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi. It was originally called Lu Xiangsheng ancestral hall. Lu Xiangsheng was named Zhongsu after Emperor Qianlong. It was destroyed in 1864 and rebuilt in 1870. After the 1950s, it was used for other purposes, and the original building was in disrepair for a long time. In 2001, Yixing municipal government funded the demolition and reconstruction of the original site.
The original building is located in the South and North, with two entrances. The first one is the hall with three rooms. In the middle of the room, there is a plaque of "one person in the past" inscribed by Zhou Fohai. The second one is the hall with one ear room in the East and one ear room in the West. Under the eaves, there is a plaque of "loyalty, filial piety, culture and martial arts". On both sides, there is a column couplet of "wusichang is no more than Guo Fenyang, and Tinglin is Yue Wumu". In the middle of the room, there is a plaque of "heroic spirit is still there". The statue of Lu Xiangsheng is on the left On the right, there are the portraits of the officer in the middle and the official in the palm. The tablets of his wife and his parents are set in the East and the west respectively. The ear room is used as a study for storing the complete works of Lu zhongsugong. There are three rooms in the East and three in the West. In the first place, the memorial tablets of Gu Xian, a soldier and a servant who died in battle, are set up. In the second place, the memorial tablets of Hu Dawei, Yang Guozhu, Yu Zhenlong and Yang Lukai are set up in the East. In the west, the memorial tablets of Lu Guoyun, Lu Guojun, Lu Guohong, Lu Xiangguan, Lu Xiangguo, Lu Xiangjin and Lu Xiangzhen are set up A bit. During the reconstruction, it was changed to sit on the south side of the north, with three main halls and three East and West Wing rooms. The main hall was made of purple sand, with Lu Xiangsheng's whole body, the East Wing with his soldiers, and the West Wing with Lu Xiangsheng's reading scenes. On the southwest side of the original ancestral hall (now opposite the cultural center of Yicheng Street), there is its former residence, Lu zhongsudi, which was demolished at the end of the 20th century when the old city was rebuilt.
