Also known as Jingshan, it is located on the west side of Zhongshan Park in Qingdao, close to Qingdao Baihuayuan. It is the western extension of Taiping mountain, with a height of 128 meters. In the last years of the Qing Dynasty, Zhang Gaoyuan, a general, once set up a defense on the mountain and built his barracks on the southwest slope of the mountain. After the German occupation of Qingdao, the mountain was named Bismarck mountain after the German prime minister, and two permanent fort, Bismarck fort, were built in the south of the mountain. During the Japanese German war, this fort once dealt a heavy blow to the Japanese army. When the German army was forced to surrender due to lack of troops, the fort was destroyed, but the steel turret and cement gun chamber were still intact, which became a historical witness of the colonialists' invasion of Qingdao. In the 1980s, Qingdao mountain was turned into a hilltop Park, in which mountain trails and stone steps were built, circling to the top of the mountain. On the top of the mountain, there is a glazed tile covered landscape wall and a pavilion for viewing the landscape.
Nearby are Qingdao zoo, Baihuayuan and Qingdao cultural celebrity statue park.
