Book Collection Town
Book Collection Town, located in the west of Suzhou City and the East Bank of Taihu Lake, is named after Zhu Maichen, a famous Minister of the Western Han Dynasty, who worked hard to study. The town covers an area of 40.53 square kilometers, governs five administrative villages and one community, with a population of more than 30000. There are many scenic spots and a long cultural history in the territory. The natural scenery of Kunlong mountain, Tianchi mountain and other scenic spots are unique. There are many places of interest. Folk stone carving art is popular. Flowers and seedlings sell well all over the country. Mutton food is well-known all over the country. It is a famous food in the Yangtze River
Jiangsu Province is famous for its "hometown of stone carving", "hometown of flowers and trees" and "hometown of mutton". In 2006, the collection of books was withdrawn and the core town and three villages were merged into Mudu town

Historical evolution
The origin of the place name of book collection is related to Zhu Maichen, the prefect of Kuaiji in the Western Han Dynasty: Zhu Maichen had a poor family since he was a child, but he liked reading very much. He often read on the rocks when he was herding sheep in the mountains, so he often lost the sheep. His family warned him that if he lost the sheep again, he would burn his books. Therefore, Zhu Maichen hid the book under a stone on the mountain and took it out to read when his family didn't pay attention. Because Zhu Maichen studied hard, he got an official title and became the prefect of Kuaiji. In order to commemorate the hardship of his study and encourage future generations to study hard, his hometown was named "book collection".

Qionglong mountain is the crown of the mountains in Wuzhong. It has dense mountains, undulating peaks, winding roads, luxuriant forests, and is shaped like hairpin. It is solid and deep. In ancient times, it was known as "the first mountain of Wujun famous mountain". The whole scenic area covers an area of 250 hectares and is now a tourist attraction of Dongwu National Forest Park.
Tianchi mountain scenic spot
Tianchi mountain is also known as "Huashan" because there is a pool on the mountainside, which is more than tens of feet long and can be seen in the mountainside. Huashan Mountain in Tianchi is one of the four famous mountains in Wuzhong. It is famous for its tranquility, spring and stone house. Xiaowangshan cliff carvings
Xiaowangshan cliff inscriptions are mainly distributed in the east slope of Xiaowang mountain, and formed during the ten years of Li Genyuan's seclusion (1928-1937). There are hundreds of cliff inscriptions of more than 100 modern celebrities, such as Chen Yan, Zhang Taiyan, Yu Youren, Li Liejun, etc. These calligraphy works, zhengcaoli Zhuan, with complete fonts, different styles, large quantity, beauty of calligraphy and fine carving, rank the first in Wuzhong.
Wufengshan Taoist temple
According to historical records, the temple on the mountain was originally built in Town God's Temple. It was founded in the Qing Dynasty Daoguang for seventeen years (1837). The old temple fairs and the fragrant flood season are the most prosperous. Every the 1th day of the eleventh month of the Chinese lunar calendar to twelve, it is said that it is the birthday of Town God's Temple Bodhisattva.
Mutton with books
Among the special products in the town of book collection, the most famous one is "mutton of book collection". Mutton has a long history. With its unique cooking skills, it has been cooked into various kinds of mutton dishes. Because of its delicious meat, delicious soup and rich nutrition, it is deeply loved by people. It is a good tonic in winter. It has become a traditional local snack in Suzhou and is popular in Jiangnan. After several generations of efforts, inheritance and development, it has become a famous brand. In 1997, it was officially registered as "Book mutton" by the State Trademark Office, realizing the industrialized operation.
Historical development
Cangshu town is located in the hilly area of the western suburb of Suzhou, with mountains and rich vegetation. It has a unique natural ecological environment suitable for raising sheep. Mutton was first used as a tonic food or a rural dish to entertain relatives and friends after harvest in autumn. Because of its excellent taste, it has won the favor of the city people, so it has gradually changed to open a shop in the city.
As early as the Ming and Qing Dynasties, farmers at the foot of dome mountain were engaged in the sideline business of killing sheep, burning mutton and selling mutton. Generally, they were engaged in the business of carrying or selling mutton. It was only in the late Qing Dynasty that they began to set up shops and workshops in Suzhou City (commonly known as "yangzuo"). In the 22nd year of Guangxu, Zhou Xiaoquan, a book collection Township, opened the first "shengmeizhai" mutton shop in the city by the bridge of Suzhou vinegar square "Laoyixing" and "laoxiexing" mutton shops were set up in duting bridge and Linton road. During the period of the Republic of China, there were more and more famous shops in Daoqian street, yadanqiao and loumentang. After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, Shengli mutton shop, the first sheep production in shanrenqiao, was opened. At the beginning of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was still operated by individuals. After communization, it was organized and operated by large teams. More than 10 collective mutton shops were set up in the prosperous commercial areas of Shilu, Gaoqiao, eunuch lane, Dongzhong city and Gongxiang in Suzhou. At the turn of autumn and winter, mutton shops inside and outside the ancient city open one after another. Generally, the shops are set up along the street, not talking about ostentation. The cooking stove stands on the front of the shop, and the aroma spreads to the neighborhood, attracting many diners. "Don't have fresh mutton soup, don't want copper mother of Pearl" has become the praise of the public, and has gained great reputation.
After the reform and opening up, the business of book mutton has been developing continuously. The number of operators has increased dramatically, and the regional scope has been expanding continuously, covering Suzhou (including six counties and one city), Wuxi, Changzhou, Shanghai, Jiaxing, Zhejiang and other large and medium-sized cities and township fairs.
Unique flavor
Tibetan mutton is made from live killing goats. It is mainly made of white roasted mutton, mutton soup, mutton cake and red roasted mutton. It is cooked with traditional unique cooking techniques. White roasted mutton is famous for its milky color, rich aroma, crisp but not rotten meat, fresh but not greasy taste and endless eating. It has launched a series of special dishes such as "whole sheep feast". There are more than 30 varieties, including cold pot, hot fried, barbecue, soup, snack, etc.
