China Post Stamp Museum
China National Post and postal stamp museum, formerly known as the reference room of the stamp issuing Bureau of the Ministry of Posts and telecommunications, is the only national professional museum in China that collects and uses postal and stamp relics for academic research and exchange. It was officially opened to the public on August 22, 2007
.
China Post Stamp Museum has a building area of 23705 square meters, a warehouse area of 3000 square meters, and an exhibition hall area of 5500 square meters. It is divided into three exhibition halls: main exhibition hall, special exhibition hall, and treasure hall. It has seven main exhibition areas: "original communication", "ancient post", "modern post", "contemporary post", "stamp exhibition hall", "special exhibition hall" and "treasure hall"

In 2012, China Post Stamp Museum was awarded the title of "national science popularization education base" by China Science and Technology Association
In 2018, China Post Stamp Museum was awarded as the resource unit of social classroom for primary and secondary school students in Beijing

Development history
In September 1984, the Preparatory Office of China Stamp Museum was established.
In July 1985, the China Stamp Museum was officially established with the approval of the Ministry of Posts and telecommunications. The old museum is located at 2 Xuanwumen East Street, Beijing.
In 1994, China Stamp Museum was put under the post and Telecommunications culture and history center of the Ministry of Posts and telecommunications.
On March 21, 2000, the China Stamp Museum was attached to the postal culture and history center of the state post office.
In October 2002, China Stamp Museum was relocated to No.6 Gongyuan West Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing, and renamed as China Post Stamp Museum, which belongs to China Post Group Corporation.
On August 22, 2007, China Post Stamp Museum officially opened

Main exhibition hall
The first part: stamps of Qing Dynasty
This part of the exhibition tells the history of modern China in a semi feudal and semi colonial society from the perspective of stamps, from the customs dragon stamps and Cixi birthday stamps to the red stamp stamps and flat dragon stamps issued after the founding of the Qing Dynasty Post

The second part: the stamps of the Republic of China
This part of the exhibition shows some stamps issued by Nanjing Provisional Government, Beijing government and Nanjing National Government in the three stages of the Republic of China. From the stamping stamps of Panlong to the stamps with the head portraits of Sun Yat Sen and Yuan Shikai as the main pictures, from the first set of ordinary stamps with the London version of sailboat to the stamps with the words "Chinese Empire", from all kinds of limited area stamps to gold yuan and silver yuan stamps and so on, it reflects the political situation and society at that time, also reflects the gradual diversification of stamp types in this period, and also reflects the period of the Republic of China With the development of postal service, philatelic activities have a certain mass base

The third part: stamps during the revolutionary war
This part of the exhibition mainly shows the stamps issued by the revolutionary bases during the Anti Japanese War and the war of liberation. The design of Anti Japanese War stamps is to publicize and encourage Anti Japanese. During the war of liberation, stamps were based on the six administrative regions that issued stamps

Part four: a complete collection of new China special stamps (up to 2006)
This part of the exhibition includes all special stamps, cultural revolution stamps, numbered stamps, JT stamps and year stamps

Part five: foreign stamps
This part of the exhibition shows stamps from 42 countries, which are exchanged by China Stamp Museum on behalf of China Post and member states of UPU

In this part of the exhibition hall, the original pictures of the stamps in the collection and the stamps and other cultural relics in various historical periods are displayed alternately
