Zhiye Temple
Located in Guangfulin Cultural Heritage Park in Songjiang, the root of Shanghai, Zhiye temple is built to commemorate the good deeds of Zhiye Zen master, who spread among the people in Songjiang. The reconstruction of the temple aims to carry forward the benevolent virtues of the patriarch, so that future generations can always remember, imitate the ancient virtues, and inspire future generations to learn. Zhiye temple was opened to the public on June 1, 2013.
Introduction
Zhiye temple, a Tang style building, was restored and rebuilt by Shanghai Songjiang culture, radio, film and television administration, Shanghai Songjiang new city construction and Development Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Songjiang Buddhist Association in 2009, and was fully completed in May 2013. The temple is equipped with Shanmen hall, bell tower, Drum Tower, zushi hall, Wufang Manjusri hall, Daxiong hall, Guanyin hall, dizang hall, Wuguan hall, Prajna Zhang room, Neiguan Pavilion and other hall facilities. With reasonable layout, simple and elegant, and exquisite construction, the temple is another Buddhist holy land with unique features in Songjiang and Shanghai, and an important Taoist site for practicing Buddhism.
