School history

In 2001, in order to support the construction of Mianyang Science and Technology City, the people's Bank of China simulation bank experimental center contacted with Mianyang Municipal People's government for many times, and proposed the idea of building a pilot e-commerce college in Mianyang. After consultation between Southwest University of Finance and economics and Mianyang Municipal People's government, the two sides signed a letter of intent for cooperation in running schools.

On March 18, 2002, Southwest University of Finance and economics set up the school of e-commerce, which is a teaching unit directly under the University.

On April 12, 2006, the Ministry of Education approved the cooperation between Southwest University of Finance and economics and Sichuan wei'ao Education Investment Co., Ltd. to set up Tianfu College of Southwest University of Finance and economics. Tianfu College of Southwest University of Finance and economics is an independent college, enjoying the property right of legal person. The College of e-commerce has completed its historical mission and no longer enrolls students. The students of all departments have moved back to Guanghua campus of Southwest University of Finance and economics. In July of the same year, Tianfu University began to enroll students. In September, the first freshmen of Tianfu University registered.

In June 2012, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial Institute of education and examination [2012] No. 22, the undergraduates of Tianfu College of Southwest University of Finance and economics were enrolled in the second batch of Undergraduates in Sichuan Province since 2012. In August of the same year, the Chengdu campus of Tianfu College of Southwest University of Finance and Economics (east area) and Tianfu college students' entrepreneurship training base (west area of Chengdu campus) were completed and officially put into use.

In November 2018, Deyang campus of Tianfu College of Southwest University of Finance and economics was officially opened.

Tianfu College of Southwest University of Finance and economics has 32 undergraduate majors and 25 junior college majors, covering eight disciplines of economics, management, engineering, literature, art, law, medicine and education. It has eight secondary colleges of accounting, intelligent finance, intelligent technology, architecture and engineering, modern service management, art design, health care and nursing, international education and foreign language teaching and research center Heart.

Campus description

Faculty

There are 20158 students in Tianfu College of Southwest University of Finance and economics. There are 1453 teaching staff, including 1120 full-time teachers, 894 teachers with master's degree or above, and more than 30 foreign teachers. The teaching staff engaged in junior language teaching is composed of some excellent teachers from the College English teaching and research group and teachers with rich IELTS teaching experience. The teaching staff of senior professional courses are composed of returned teachers with overseas learning experience and foreign teachers. Discipline construction

Tianfu College of Southwest University of Finance and economics has set up eight disciplines, namely economics, management, literature, art, engineering, law, medicine and education.
