Pingdu Museum
Pingdu museum is located in the middle of Hongqi Road, Pingdu City, Qingdao City, Shandong Province. It covers an area of 1987 square meters and a building area of 747 square meters. It is a local comprehensive museum.
The title of Pingdu County Museum on the lintel plaque of the museum was written by Liu Haisu, an art master.
In the museum yard, there is a ginkgo tree of Han and Tang Dynasties. Behind the tree is the main hall of Laozi temple in Xianfeng Period of Qing Dynasty, and now it is the exhibition room of Pingdu historical relics. On the east side of the pavilion, there is a Yuzhu Dandong pavilion with double eaves, and on the north side is a stele gallery. The exhibition highlights the local historical and cultural characteristics of Pingdu, especially the Dongyi culture and stone carving culture.

The museum is composed of a group of magnificent ancient buildings. On the upper floor of the antique cornice gate facing the street, there is a plaque inscribed by the famous art master Liu Haisu. The stone lions on both sides are solemn and dignified. When you enter the gate, you can see a weathered ancient ginkgo tree.
In the museum yard, there is a ginkgo tree of Han and Tang Dynasties. It is said that it is a rare "mother and son ginkgo tree" planted by hand by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty when he visited zhilai mountain in the East. To the north of ginkgo tree is Laozi temple, also known as Chongde palace, also known as Hougong temple. It was built in memory of Laozi Li'er, the founder of Taoist school. It was built in the Han Dynasty. It is a Xieshan style building with cornices and angles, douhengdieluo, Danying painted buildings and Jinbi yingyue. It is the first Grand View of Jiaodong County, and is known as "Shenxian mansion".

Collection
Pingdu museum is the collection base of cultural relics in the city. The collection includes more than 15000 pieces of stone, pottery, bone, jade, porcelain, bronze, coins, inscriptions, calligraphy and painting. Among the more than 600 treasures on display, some of them can be called national treasures. The "Ya" shaped stone axe, the half moon shaped double hole stone knife and the spring and autumn dragon tiger shaped bronze cudgel, which are the remains of Yueshi culture, are a group of artworks of extraordinary craftsmanship. Every year attracts a large number of Chinese and foreign calligraphers and cultural relic lovers to visit here.
There are more than 127000 cultural relics in the museum. Among them, Han Wang Sheren tablet is a national first-class cultural relic, with chronology and official script. The artistic value of calligraphy has attracted the attention of experts at home and abroad, and has been published in important newspapers and periodicals at home and abroad. Pingdu museum is open all year round and receives more than 30000 visitors every year. It has become an important patriotic education base in our city.
Pingdu historical relics exhibition: more than 1000 pieces of cultural relics are on display in the exhibition hall, including dozens of stone tools, pottery, bone ware, bronze, jade, inscriptions, calligraphy and painting. Among the nearly 1000 treasures on display, some can be called national treasures, such as the "Ya" shaped stone axe and half moon shaped double hole stone knife unearthed from the Yueshi cultural heritage named after dongyueshi village in Pingdu City, the national key cultural relics protection unit, the famous Tiandan huoniuzhen battle site in the Warring States period - the large hollow dragon brick unearthed from the ancient city site of Jimo, the bronze bell with Chunyu inscription, and the Sui Dynasty Dai Laiyu stone lions and pottery figurines of ethnic minorities in the Northern Qi Dynasty are all exquisite works of art.
The museum has a collection of "Ya" shaped stone axes, half moon shaped stone knives with double holes, and spring and autumn dragon tiger shaped bronze cudgels.
