Jincheng Ancient Academy
This academy, formerly known as "Mingdao academy", was renamed "ancient academy" in Qing Dynasty. The founder of the ancient academy is Cheng Hao, a famous philosopher and educator in the Northern Song Dynasty and the founder of Cheng Zhu Neo Confucianism in China. This was the only academy built in Shanxi during the Northern Song Dynasty, which established the unique position of Jincheng in Shanxi during the Northern Song Dynasty.
