Longquan Gorge

Shenkeng village, located at the border of Sigu and Shitao townships, has a gorge about 3.5km long, 100m high, 3-5M wide at the bottom, 30-40m wide at the top, and only 2m at the narrowest point. Most of the cliffs have a slope of 80 degrees. The gorge is known as "18 bends, 18 waterfalls, 18 pools, 18 bridges and 18 dangerous roads". Longquan gorge is commonly known as "nine bays and ten locks, which lock the green mountains but not the water". The whole valley is like a dragon swimming in the mountain stream, swimming to the sea. There is a spring in the cave, which is one of the water sources of saihai. Into the bottom of the stream to the narrowest place, only a line of blue sky.

The cliff of the gorge is high and imposing. Most of them have a slope of more than 80 degrees, and some cliffs overturn with a slope of more than 100 degrees. Stalactites hang on the cliff. "Princess cave" in the middle of a stone like a girl's head, cheek plump, face round as the moon, dress and shirt pianpianpian, hair scattered, side face shy, charming and moving. The "Prince of Longtan" stands smartly with his back leaning on the unicorn, his left hand pulling the lapel and his right hand caressing the sword. On the left side of Longtan opposite to the prince, there is a stone on the cliff, which looks like an old man with white hair and silver beard, smiling. The more you look, the more lifelike you feel. Therefore, it is known as "the first scenic gorge in Hunan".
