Chicory spring

Chicory spring, also known as "lettuce spring", is located under the North cliff of yuanhongyu in Liubu town. It is deep in the dense forest in the southern mountainous area of Jinan City. It has superior geographical location and convenient transportation, only 38 kilometers away from Jinan City.

brief introduction

The spring water flows out from the cracks in the cliff and does not dry up for a long time. The original spring pool is shaped like a well, and now it is covered with stone slabs. The water flows from the underdrain to the northwest along the fall of the mountain into the courtyard of "Roman villa" of Jinan Railway Bureau, and then comes out of the ground. The rockery made of rocks falls into the ground, forming a waterfall with a width of 3 meters and a height of 2 meters, and then flows into the artificial swimming pool built in the courtyard through an underdrain 15 meters away. The water in the swimming pool is clear and transparent all the year round, keeping a relatively constant temperature. It is a natural flowing spring. There is an underground ditch at the northwest end of the pool, from which the water flows into the valley covered with green trees and flows into Chajiu River, which is one of the sources of jinyangchuan. Although the name of chicory spring has the word "bitter", because the geological structure here is caused by wooden fish stone, the water quality is sweet, and it is best to make tea without leaving scale. There is a tablet of Kuhuan spring written by Kong Fu, a famous poet of modern landscape school. Later, there was a famous contemporary philologist, calligrapher and seal engraver Mr. Jiang Weisong's inscription of kushuquan stele.

It was once listed in 72 famous springs of Jin, Ming and Qing Dynasties.

The bottom right is the "bitter spring" written by Mr. Jiang Weisong by Mr. Li Jiandong, a researcher of calligraphy, painting and seal cutting of Chinese Traditional Culture Research Association and head of propaganda and Education Department of Jinan Railway Center for Disease Control and prevention.

Urban area: one at 9:30, return to the urban area at 2:00 p.m.; two in the afternoon, do not return to the urban area, it is recommended to visit in the morning, the ticket price is 3 yuan) about 1.5 hours to get to the gate of yuanhongyu Resort (because the bus does not have this stop, give the driver instructions in advance, and you can get off after arriving) about 1000 meters into the resort, that is, chicory spring.

Travel suggestions: due to traffic reasons, it is recommended to visit the chicory spring and summer spring within half an hour, and then take the bus back to the urban area at the gate of the resort, or transfer to bus No.65 at the Zhonggong Longshan station to visit the spring.
