Daizhen park is located in the center of Tunxi District, Huangshan City, at the intersection of Yan'an Road and Zhima Road, adjacent to Tunxi Old Street, one of China's ten famous historical and cultural streets. The park was built in 1982. Because it is located on Huashan Mountain, it was originally named Huashan Park and later changed to Daizhen park. The original Huashan Temple above Huashan was destroyed later. The park was named after Dai Zhen. The park covers an area of 29 hectares, with a green area of 27.84 hectares and a water area of 2.6 hectares. There are many scenic spots in the park, such as Dai Zhen sculpture, Dai Zhen memorial hall, Zhutang cruise terminal, Dai Zhen exhibition hall, sunset Pavilion, ink Pavilion, stone arch bridge, botanical garden, Hui style bonsai garden (green garden), zoo and so on.
The vegetation of the park is mainly mountain forest, highlighting plant landscaping and paying attention to the protection of the original ecology of plants. There are more than 150 kinds of woody plants. It is not only a natural collection place for scientific research and teaching, but also an ideal place for physical and mental adjustment, leisure and fitness of citizens. It is also a common place for mountaineers.
According to the investigation, in ancient times, the water surface of Zhutang was much higher than that of the street, and the street was often affected by the flood of Zhutang. Later, Dai Zhen, a famous researcher, mathematician and astronomer in the Qing Dynasty, designed and built the Zhutang dam to control the flood. In 1988, scholars renamed it Dai Zhen Park.
Dai Zhen, whose name is Dongyuan, was born in Tunxi, Huangshan City. He was a progressive thinker and famous scholar in the Qing Dynasty, and one of the most outstanding representatives of Chinese traditional culture. His philosophical thought of "unity of reason and desire", which "embodies the people's feelings and pursues the people's desire", enlightened the dawn of the 19th century and became the pioneer of the early Enlightenment thought in China.
Dai Zhen had profound knowledge, accurate judgment and outstanding academic achievements. In the aspect of ancient books research, we sorted out nine chapters of arithmetic, island Suanjing and Sun Tzu Suanjing from Yongle Dadian, summed up the achievements of ancient mathematics in China, and revised Shuijing Zhu to solve the problem of confusion between scriptures and annotations.
Dai Zhen wrote a lot of works all his life, involving all aspects of social science and natural science. There are more than 20 kinds handed down from generation to generation, such as CE Suan, Kao Gong Ji Tu Zhu, Er Ya Wen Kao, Qu Yuan Fu Zhu, bu Zhu of the book of songs, bu Zhu of the doctrine of the mean, and Jin Wen Gu Wen Kao of Shang Shu, Xu Tian Tian Lue, dialect Shuzheng, and Yi Shuzheng of Mencius, some of which have been translated and introduced abroad. There are nearly ten thousand ancient books in the museum.
Daizhen Park
"I love Yumi town in the south of the Yangtze River, and Tunxi town is even more affectionate. The peach blossom water at the foot of Xiaohua mountain has the fragrance of tea and ink. " This poem describes the scene of Tunxi Old Street, in which Huashan is the site of Daizhen park.

Daizhen Park, formerly known as Huashan Park, was compiled by Nanjing Planning Institute in 1982. The first phase of the project was completed in 1984 and renamed Daizhen Park in 1987. In May 2003, the government invested in the renovation of the South Gate of the park.
