Zhari Nam Mu Co, the third largest lake in Tibet Autonomous Region. Among them, Cuoqin Zangbu, which originated in the Gangdise mountains, has a total length of 253 kilometers and a drainage area of 9930 square kilometers.
Zhari nanmu CO is a famous national wetland. Located in the northeast of Coqin County, Ali Prefecture, Tibet Autonomous Region, 12 kilometers away from the county seat of Coqin. It is about 500 km away from Shiquanhe Town, where Ali district administrative office is located. Among the peaks of the Gangdise mountains is the largest salt water lake in Ali and the third largest in Tibet, Zhari Nam Mu Co. It covers an area of 1023 square kilometers, with an elevation of 4613 meters. It is a great lake with a length of 54 kilometers from east to west and a width of 20 kilometers from north to south.
species
Zharinan mucuo lake is a good ranch, rich in precious purple cashmere goats. Along the lake, there are three or five groups of Tibetan antelopes, wild donkeys and other wild animals, galloping in the lakeside fields. Because Zhari Nam Mu CO is an inland lake which has been closed for a long time, the salinity of the lake water has reached 13.9 g / L. it is a salty lake with blue water, good transparency, but few aquatic organisms. Only in the shallow water area of the northwest part of the lake, where the Cuoqin Tibetan river flows into the lake, the dense aquatic plants and algae grow, attracting groups of waterfowls to forage. After the lake water retreated in the south of the lake area, three small lakes were left. The salt content of the lake water was just suitable for the growth of an arthropod named Artemia, which was a high-quality feed for artificially raising fish, crabs and shrimps. Around the lakeshore, the ancient lakeshore lines are clearly visible, which witness the life track of the lake due to the warming and drying climate. The highest ancient lake shoreline is about 100 meters higher than the present lake level, and even there are traces of ancient lake shoreline on the mountain 64 kilometers away from Cuoqin Zangbu. It includes some small lakes around it. At that time, the surface of the ancient lake was 2-3 times larger. There is a closed small salt lake with an area of about 12 square kilometers between munuo peak and the Piedmont on the north side of the lake. Because it is isolated from the lake and basically has no water supply, the remaining salt lake is 63 meters lower than the surface of mucuo Lake in zharinan, which looks like a big funnel.
formation
It is located in a large tectonic basin formed by the collapse of the east-west fault in the process of the uplift of the plateau. As early as tens of millions of years ago, this place experienced an earth shaking volcanic eruption. The rock layer composed of red and black volcanic ash, lava flow and pyroclastic rocks curled and twisted under the action of the late Himalayan orogeny to form a flow pattern. In the north of the lake, the solitary peak of munuo mountain, which is close to the lake, is composed of black limestone formed on the sea floor 200 or 300 million years ago. It is 5174 meters above sea level and more than 500 meters above the lake. Climbing up the cliff, you can have a panoramic view of the lake. It is the best scenic spot to enjoy the scenery of lakes and mountains. From the lakeside at the south foot of munuo peak to the southeast of the lake, there is an arc-shaped sand dike extending to the isolated island in the center of the lake. Walking along the sand dike, you can reach the isolated island directly. The lava on the island is scattered. Standing on the island and looking around, you can see the lake with the same color and endless waves.
