The former residence of Modern Li Renzhi is the former residence of Li Renzhi's ancestral home. It is an old house with blue bricks and stone feet. This former residence was built in the Qing Dynasty. It is composed of a courtyard and three houses. The courtyard is surrounded by a wall made of green bricks. The gate of the courtyard is on the right side of the three rooms. The gate is to the south, and a longan tree is planted on the right side of the open space. The walls of the three houses are made of green bricks, with simple tile surfaces, wood carved eaves, and ancient paintings of flowers and birds on the walls.
Li Renzhi (1919-1983), formerly known as Li Baoji, was born in this old house on April 11, 1919. Li was born in a poor family. He studied hard when he was young and tended to be revolutionary when he grew up. After the July 7th incident in 1937, Li gave up his studies at Jinling middle school in Guangzhou and went to Yan'an to enter the Anti Japanese military and Political University. He joined the Communist Party of China in April 1938 and then moved to the north and south,
Make contributions in the rain of guns and bullets. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, he served as the executive secretary of the provincial Party committee and vice governor of Anhui Province. In February 1979, he was transferred to Secretary of Hubei provincial Party committee, Secretary of Wuhan municipal Party committee and mayor of Wuhan. Li Renzhi is a member of the 7th and 11th CPC Central Committee. He died of illness in 1983. The eulogy called him "an excellent member of the Communist Party of China and a long tested loyal soldier of communism". There are precious relics in Li Renzhi's former residence: diary during the war, work notebook after the founding of the people's Republic of China, horse back cover used during the war and wall watch used after the founding of the people's Republic of China.
