Yimin river is a first-class tributary of Hailar River. It originates from the southeast of Honghuaerji Town, Ewenki Autonomous Banner, at the north foot of Mushan mountain in Daxing'an Mountains. It is 359.4 km long, with a drainage area of 22640 square kilometers and an annual runoff of 1.275 billion cubic meters. It flows from the south to the north, runs through the Ewenki Autonomous Banner, passes through the urban area of Hailar District, and joins Hailar River in the north of Hailar District.

It is 359.4 km long, with a drainage area of 22640 square kilometers and an annual runoff of 1.275 billion cubic meters. It flows from the south to the north, runs through the Ewenki Autonomous Banner, passes through the urban area of Hailar District, and joins Hailar River in the north of Hailar District. This river basin is located in the transition zone from mountain to grassland in the southeast of Hulunbuir grassland. Its tributaries are mostly distributed on the right bank, and the larger tributaries from top to bottom are Weina River, weizikeng River, Xini River, Huihe River, etc.
The upper reaches of the Yimin River (above Honghuaerji) are mountainous forest areas with a width of 20-50m and lush forests. It is the hometown of Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica, a rare evergreen tree species. Below Honghuaerji, the river flows into hills and grasslands, with a width of 50-80 meters. On the right bank of the middle reaches is the famous Wiener River spa. On the left bank, there is an important grassland tourist area in Hulunbeier City, bayanhushuo Aobao mountain grassland ethnic tourism spot.
Main tributaries
Huihe river is a tributary of Yimin river. It originates in the south of Ewenki autonomous banner at the northwest foot of the triangle peak of the Great Xing'an Mountains, with an altitude of 1321 meters. It has a total length of 437 km (336 km), a drainage area of 11470 square km and an average annual runoff of 147 million cubic meters. The northwest flow turns to the Northeast flow, passing through the East swamp of xinbaolige, and flowing into the Yimin River in the north of bayantaladaor ethnic township. The terrain of the basin is high in the South and low in the northeast, with an altitude of 711-1321 meters. The middle and lower reaches of the river breed a large area of wetlands.
The Sinai river is a tributary of the Yimin river. It originates from the West foot of Badari at the junction of Yakeshi city and Ewenki Autonomous Banner on the west slope of Daxing'anling mountains. The river is 125 km long, with a drainage area of about 1850 square kilometers. The river is 20-40 m wide and 0.5-1 m deep. The annual freezing period is about 5-6 months. It flows from east to west, flows through East Sumu of Xini River, and joins into Yimin river at 3 km east Sumu of Xini river. The upper reaches of the river flow through the virgin forest, and the middle and lower reaches flow through the semi-arid grassland.
