Cuiyan mountain is located 17 kilometers northwest of Jinzhou City. At the end of the flat land, a group of peaks rise. The cliff is as steep as a knife, and the craggy is as steep and beautiful as a bonsai specially made by nature. The rocks in Cuiyan mountain are brownish green. In summer and autumn, they are covered with moss, with green peaks and picturesque scenery. Cuiyan mountain, formerly known as cuoya mountain, is commonly known as yabashi, with an altitude of 210 meters. Because of the emptiness and quietness, it became a good place for monks to build military temples and devote themselves to cultivation. As early as the Han Dynasty, monks built military temples at the eastern foot of the mountain. In 1084, monk Zhixun of daguangji temple in Jinzhou rebuilt the temple at the foot of the mountain. Qingjing temple was built with three couplets in the main hall and one in the same door. The portrait of Queen Xuanyi was carved in the hall. In the first year of Qiantong (1101 AD), Emperor yeluyanxi of Tianzuo ordered to rebuild Qingjing temple and renamed it Qingsheng temple. Three portraits of Empress Dowager Chengtian, empress Xuanyi and empress Hongde (the birth mother of emperor Tianzuo) are made in the hall. In front of the hall, an additional military bell and Drum Tower was built, and a stone plank road was excavated, which led directly to the dressing table of the Empress Dowager Chengtian. A military pavilion was built on it, named Shenwei Pavilion. During the orthodox period of the Ming Dynasty, Li Zhen, commander of zuotungwei in Jinzhou, changed the name of the mountain to cuiyanshan, and Qingsheng temple to cuiyanshan temple. During the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty, Wang Kai, the commander of the Confucian general, wrote "cuiyanshan Temple" in calligraphy and carved it on the cliff. Today, there is no temple in the past, only the four characters of cuiyanshan temple can be seen.

brief introduction
Cuiyan mountain, a national AAA scenic spot, was originally called cuoya mountain. Because there are two small peaks on both sides of the main peak, which are shaped like two Yaba, the local people call it Yaba stone mountain. During the orthodox period of the Ming Dynasty, Li Zhen, the commander of zuotungwei, Jinzhou, hunted here one day. Seeing the green mountains, he said: "it's really green rock mountain!" From then on, cuoya mountain was renamed Cuiyan mountain. There are two temples on the east side of the mountain, one at the foot of the mountain and the other at the hillside. They are called upper and lower courtyards (halls). The lower courtyard is named cuiyanshan temple, and the upper courtyard is named Yuhuangge. There are winding paths between the two courtyards.
Because of its open and quiet, beautiful scenery, Cuiyan mountain has become a good place for monks and Taoists to build temples and devote themselves to cultivation. As early as the Han Dynasty, some tenants built temples at the eastern foot of the mountain. Later, the temples were destroyed by repeated wars. In the Tang and Song Dynasties, after repair, the temple incense continued to flourish year after year. In the early years of emperor daozong of Liao Dynasty, the temple was in disrepair for many years. In 1084, the old monk Zhixun of daguangji temple in Jinzhou rebuilt the temple at the foot of the mountain, named Qingjing temple, which was later called cuiyanshan temple.
scenery
On the hillside of the northwest corner of cuiyanshan temple, there is a temple Yuhuangge. The first level platform is the mountain gate, with the three words "Yuhuangge" on the lintel. The second level platform has a hexagonal stone tripod. The third level platform is the main hall of Yuhuangge, with three sills in the main hall, dedicated to the three saints of taishanglaojun, yuhuangdadi and Sakyamuni. The ancient maple trees in the courtyard are vigorous, which is rare. In recent years, some monks have been practicing here, and cuiyanshan temple is also being restored.
There are many different shapes of the rare stones in Cuiyan mountain, some like tortoise, some like jade rabbit. In the southeast corner of the mountain, stands a huge stone, similar to the shape of MaoGong stone, facing the southeast, looking far away, attracting tourists to come to see.
Cuiyan mountain is open and quiet, with beautiful scenery and rugged cliffs, just like a fairyland on earth. There is "nanxiangzi cuiyanshan" in praise of Japan: green trees encircle white silk, and the precipitous precipitous cliff enters the blue sky. The jade rabbit and the tortoise compete for the competition, and the giant Locke is in front of us. Here we praise the marvelous stone of Cuiyan mountain. It's a favorite for many tourists to visit Cuiyan mountain. Some of them are shaped like turtles, while others are shaped like jade rabbits. In the southeast corner of the mountain, stands a huge stone, similar to the shape of MaoGong stone.
