brief introduction
On August 30, 1928, the Red Army, with the support of the masses and relying on the Huangyang border sentry post, defeated the four regiments with less than one battalion, and won a great victory in the Huangyang border defense war. In October 1977, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Jinggangshan revolutionary base, a monument to the victory of the Huangyangjie defense war was built. Engraved with Mao Zedong's poem "Xijiang moon · Jinggangshan".
Historical story
On August 3, 1928, when the main force of our Red Army was far away from Tingnan and the base area was short of troops, the Kuomintang troops in Tingnan and Jiangxi provinces organized four regiments to attack the Huangyang border sentry in two ways, in an attempt to occupy Jinggangshan. After the 31st regiment of the Fourth Red Army beat back the enemy's four charges with less than two companies, it brought a newly repaired mortar from the Armament Department of Ciping. With only three shells, and the first two did not go off, the third shell hit the enemy's headquarters at the foot of the mountain. The enemy came back as the main force of our army and fled in a panic overnight. The Red Army finally won the battle of defending Huangyang Li, Mao Zedong, who was on his way back to Jinggangshan, wrote the poem "Xijiang moon Jinggangshan".
present situation
After liberation, Jinggangshan built the "Huangyangjie defense Victory Monument" and the guest lounge. On the front of the monument, the inscription "monument to the victory of Huangyang world" is written by Comrade Zhu De himself, and the handwriting of Mao Zedong's poem "Xijiang moon Jinggangshan" is also engraved on the front of the horizontal monument. In addition, the "Baoguang" in Huangyang is also a rare spectacle. The five sentries are now listed as national key cultural relics protection units and open to the outside world.
Cultural sites
The terrain of Jinggangshan is dangerous, easy to defend and difficult to attack. There are mainly five sentries. Among them, the most famous is Huangyangjie sentry. The main cultural sites are Huangyangjie sentry barracks, Huangyangjie sentry fortifications, Huangyangjie defense Victory Monument and the Red Army's grain picking resting place. On August 30, 1928, the battle to defend the Huangyang Kingdom took place here. At that time, with less than a battalion, the red army beat back the attack of the enemy's four regiments and defended Jinggangshan. After hearing the news at the foot of the mountain, Comrade Mao Zedong wrote the glorious poem "the moon of Xijiang River · Jinggangshan". In 1965, the people of Jinggangshan built a wooden "monument to the victory of the Yellow ocean defense war" in front of the old barracks. In 1969, in order to publicize Lin Biao, the monument was blown up and rebuilt into a torch Pavilion. In 1977, a new monument was built on the top of the hill, and a horizontal monument was erected in front of the monument, engraved with Comrade Mao Zedong's handwritten "xijiangyue Jinggangshan". In March 1961, the State Council announced the "Huangyangjie sentry post" as a national key cultural relic protection unit.
Huangyangjie outpost barracks of the Fourth Army of the Red Army of China was originally an inn, which collapsed in the summer of 1923. In 1928, the Military Commission of the Fourth Army of the Red Army of China decided to rebuild the barracks on the basis of the original inn. Li shaotan, director of the military building department, was in charge of the construction, and the government of the Fourth District of Ninggang County dispatched migrant workers to build it. During the construction, Mao Zedong, Zhu De and others visited here. In August 1928, the barracks was completed, and a company of the Fourth Red Army stationed around the barracks, guarding the Huangyang border post day and night.
After the victory of the Huangyangjie defense war, the soldiers of the Red Army imitated the singing of the Peking Opera "empty city plan" and sang "empty mountain plan", beating the washbasin and rice bowl with bamboo chopsticks to praise the victory of the people's war.
On March 4, 1961, the State Council announced that "the former site of Huangyangjie barracks of the Fourth Army of the Chinese Red Army" is a key cultural relic protection unit in China.
