Niufo town is subordinate to Da'an District, Zigong City, Sichuan Province, covering an area of 75.79 square kilometers. Evolution of administrative districts

It was named Gaoshi town before Song Dynasty and niufo town in early Ming Dynasty.

In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Fushun County and was protected by niufudu on Shangdong road in urban and rural areas.

Niufo group was established in 1930 and niufo town was established in 1934.

In October 1955, it was named niufo Town, niufo District, Fushun County.

Located in the east of Da'an District, it borders guihuajing Township and Huangjia town of Longchang City, Neijiang City in the East, Huilong town of Da'an district and Washi town of Yantan District in the south, Xindian town and Heshi town of Da'an District in the west, miaoba town and Yongjia town of Da'an District in the north. Everyone said that the cow was sent by the Jade Emperor to rescue the small town people in the disaster.

During the Qing Dynasty, a man named Li Xiaokui failed to fight against the Qing army. He retreated to niuerdu to set up camp and built his capital as emperor. Therefore, niuerdu was renamed "niufo capital".
