It is the most complete one of the large brick chamber tombs of Han and Jin Dynasties excavated in Shandong Province, and the only one that has not been excavated. Tomb No. 2 is a single brick chamber tomb with a well preserved structure.
brief introduction
At the beginning of May 2003, two large brick chamber tombs were found in the expansion project of Wang Xizhi's former residence Park in Linyi City, Shandong Province. Then, Shandong Institute of cultural relics and Archaeology and Linyi Municipal Bureau of culture jointly formed an archaeological team to carry out rescue excavation, and achieved important results. The tomb is located in the north of xiyanchi street and the northeast of Wang Xizhi's former residence Park in Linyi city. The distance between the two tombs is more than 30 meters. Except for the stone gate, the rest are made of brick. Among them, tomb No. 1 is a double chambered tomb, which is the most complete one among the large and medium-sized brick chambered tombs of the Han and Jin Dynasties excavated in Shandong Province. It is also the only one of the large and medium-sized brick chambered tombs excavated in Shandong Province that has not been excavated. Rich and exquisite funerary objects have been unearthed.
unearthed relic
The burial objects unearthed from the tombs are very rich, including more than 250 pieces (sets) of bronze, porcelain, pottery, lacquerware, iron, gold and other materials. Among them, the porcelain is mainly Celadon of southern style, with the shape of pan mouth pot, chicken head pot, pot, bowl, water injection, Candlestick, etc. Pottery includes plates, glazed pottery bottles and so on, among which the plates are mostly lacquer ware. Bronze ware includes fumigation stove, tripod, Kui, iron, lamp, bowl, crossbow machine, hook, etc. The gold wares are mainly ornaments, including bracelets, hairpins, hairpins, bells, beads, card ornaments, rings, etc. There are knives, lamps, mirrors and so on. There are a lot of lacquerware in the tombs, but most of them are seriously decayed. The shapes of lacquerware can be identified as dowry, pot, ear cup, plate, spoon and so on. Among the unearthed funerary objects, celadon candlesticks for Hu people riding on animals, bronze candlesticks for people riding on animals, Phoenix shaped copper fumigation stove, etc. are exquisitely shaped and well preserved. The bronze crossbow machine is engraved with more than 30 characters, such as "made by Zuo Shangfang on May 10, the second year of Zhengshi" and so on. At the bottom of some lacquerware, there are clear characters in Zhu script, recording clear year numbers, including "the seventh year of Taikang" and "the eighth year of Taikang" There are three year titles of "year" and "decade", and the characters of "Wang Nu", "Li Ping", "Li Ci" and "Guan".
Tomb No. 2 is a single chamber tomb with a wide corridor in front of the main chamber. It is the largest single chamber tomb excavated in Shandong Province. Although it has been excavated twice, the structure of the chamber is still intact, with more than 20 cultural relics.
Tomb structure
According to the shape and structure of the two tombs, the combination characteristics of the funerary objects and the chronological data, the age of the tombs should belong to the Western Jin Dynasty. Tomb No. 1 completely reflects the burial custom of that time. It is a rare phenomenon in archaeological excavation that three minors are buried in the same tomb. The unearthed funerary objects are rich and exquisite, which are only seen in the tombs of Jin Dynasty in Shandong Province. Although tomb No. 2 was stolen, it was larger in scale and had a complete structure. It was not far away from tomb No. 1 and had a similar age. The two tombs are large in scale, exquisite in construction and rich in unearthed cultural relics. The owners of the tombs should have strong economic strength or certain political power, and should have certain relations with the famous families or noble officials at that time.
