Located in the west of Fengqiao street in Suzhou high tech Zone, Baimajian ecological park is an important part of Suzhou Western Tourism Zone, covering an area of 7 square kilometers. It is an original ecological "green lung" of the whole high tech Zone. It is 16 kilometers away from the city center, with superior location, convenient transportation and developed economy. It is planned and designed by the famous Beijing native landscape planning and Design Institute, with high standard, high starting point and harmony. It is divided into six functional areas (four natural scenic areas and two public leisure areas). The planning is positioned as a natural ecological leisure resort in Suzhou City, highlighting the natural ecological and cultural characteristics of the ecological park.

Preparation

Baimajian ecological park was established in July 2003. On November 23, 2003, the planning and design seminar of Suzhou Baimajian ecological park was held in the second meeting room of Suzhou high tech Zone Management Committee. Relevant leaders of the New Zone Management Committee, Planning Bureau, land and Resources Bureau and economic development bureau attended the review meeting. At the meeting, the concept planning scheme provided by Beijing native landscape planning and Design Institute was basically approved. Planning orientation: build Baimajian ecological park into a natural ecological leisure resort in Suzhou City, highlight the natural, ecological and cultural characteristics of the site, and form an urban leisure pattern of "Jinji Lake in the East, Suzhou classical garden in the middle, and Baimajian ecological park in the west".

The company was formally established in November 2003, funded by Fengqiao Street investment and Development Corporation and nine villages near the ecological park. The overall goal of the ecological park is to speed up the construction of scenic spots, accelerate infrastructure construction, create a harmonious ecological environment between man and nature, and strive to build the ecological park into a prosperous urban ecological park integrating tourism, sightseeing, ecological leisure and vacation services. The first phase of Longchi scenic spot development covers an area of 1 square kilometers. Under the correct leadership of the street party working committee, according to the overall planning and the construction policy of "strict protection, reasonable development, unified management, and sustainable utilization", it makes full use of the natural ecology of the original fruit forest farm and excavates the Baimajian culture, seizing the opportunity. After one and a half years of development and construction, all the work has been completed. On July 18 this year, Suzhou high tech Zone hosted the opening ceremony of Longchi scenic area, which is now open to the outside world.

In the process of development and construction, the company strictly protects the original ancient and famous trees, transplants some seedlings that must be moved, and adds 80000 m2 of green space, 20000 m2 of water surface, and develops more than 20 scenic spots.

history

The historical and cultural heritage can be traced back to 2500 years ago. During the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period, it was the place where the king of Wu raised horses. Where King Gou Jian of Yue lived, there are still sites such as Yinmachi and xieyuling. There are many cultural landscapes in Longchi scenic area. The path leading to Longchi is the ancient imperial road. The dragon pool is the source of the stream. Rippling pool, changing scenery, or warbler singing willow green, or gurgling stream. Water is the essence of the dragon pool scenic spot. The upstream is the Longchi reservoir, which is also famous for its scenic spots. It was rebuilt in 1952 and is the earliest reservoir in Suzhou and Jiangsu Province. The lake covers an area of 20000 square meters with a volume of about 80000 cubic meters. It belongs to natural rain and mountain spring, with clear water and no pollution. It is the best place for swimming over the years. The three mountains embrace each other, and the inscription of Qianlong's stele is "bright mirror and cloud roots".
