Guanyin Mountain, located on the right side of Xulong River, 17 kilometers east of Tongren City, Guizhou Province, is one of the first ten scenic spots in Guizhou Province.

It is said that in ancient times, six yellow dragons invited three green dragons from Jinjiang River to meet in the cave. When Jiulong came to the cave, he saw the Penglai fairyland like cave. All of them wanted to take the cave as their own and argued endlessly. At dawn, no one can return to their original residence, so they have to stay on a huge colored pillar deep in the cave and never get away. There is a small stream at the foot of the mountain. Because of the quarrel between Jiulong and the cave, people are restless and scold the dragon. Therefore, it has the name of "Jiulong Panzhu" and "scolding the Dragon stream". Jiulong cave is named after it.

Jiulong cave is vast and magnificent, with seven halls, 2258 meters long and a total area of about 70000 square meters. Three halls and 12 scenic spots have been opened to tourists.

Scenery

The first hall is more than 70 meters wide and 30-70 meters high. There are hundreds of stone pillars and stalagmites, including 8 over 30 meters, 6 over 20 meters and 18 over 10 meters. In addition, there is a shaft like Tianting and an underground river. There are holes in each hall, which are connected with each other. Stalagmites, stone pillars, stone flowers, stone mantles and so on are spread all over the hall. Each hall has its own characteristics, various forms and scenes. The first hall is a slightly inclined cave with flat roof. On the right side, there are many stone pillars, and on the left side, stone flowers are in full bloom. There are "water curtain cave", "dragon mouth with beads", "tiger down the mountain", "Dragon Cave sunset" and "white elephant in the South". Especially the towering "pagoda" and "sword" pointing directly to the sky, which are tall, straight and beautiful, and with wonderful workmanship, constitute a beautiful and unique scenery.

The second hall is a cave with a flat roof. The stone curtain at the top of the cave is thousands of hanging, delicate and exquisite. It is closely integrated into a network of stone curtains, such as Yunshan, Wuling and nizhang xiafeng. In front of the "immortal bed" on the left side, the gauze is ethereal, and the green scenery is swaying in the "green bamboo" cluster on the right side. The bell milk is white as jade, and the stone column is green as black ink. People name it "independent cold autumn", "two Qiao competing for beauty", "sea flower overlapping Emerald", "fairy dancing", "Tang Monk seeking scriptures", "Golden Rooster babi" and "Yuzhu Yinhua". It's really lifelike. Visitors here are full of imagination and forget to return.

Third the hall is a dome cave with a large hole hall. It can accommodate thousands of people. It is the essence of the whole cave. It is the most spectacular. Under the illumination, there is a feeling of Taoyuan in the mist and the feeling of going to the countryside in the month. On both sides of the hall, there are three giant pillars connected with the cave top, which are more than 30 meters high. One of them is as high as 39.88 meters and 16.4 meters around. It is the highest pillar in China's open caves and the second highest in the world. The column body is full of stone flowers, such as gold carving and jade carving, which makes the three halls as magnificent and solemn as a palace. There are many scenes, such as "peacock opens the screen", "green dragon plate column", "flat peach for longevity", "golden wall and jade mushroom", "lobster comes out of the hole" and "lion roars". In addition. At the foot of the stone pillar, there are many small scenes: some are like beasts flying; some are like young birds flying; some are like children studying around a table; some are like bamboo shoots breaking through the ground. It's beautiful. There is an underground river in the cave. It is clear and clean, warm in winter and cool in summer. It passes through the bottom of the cave, flows through the cliff in front of the cave, and falls down like a waterfall. It is a wonder. The underground river can walk 50 meters, sometimes Wade, and then step on the pier. There is another small cave on the right side of the underground river. The "terraced fields" in the cave are covered with haze light. The village can be seen from far and near. Although the scenery is small, the interest is endless.

What's more amazing is that about 1.5km outside the Jiulong cave, there are two small holes. One is cold wind, the other is hot wind, the other is cool wind in the hot summer, and the other is warm air in the cold winter of March 9. Therefore, it is called "cold and hot wind tunnel 2". Within a short distance, the two caves are hot and cold, and the two caves are very rare in the world.

Geographical features

Jiulong cave is a large natural karst cave. There are lots of stalactites in the cave, which are colorful, crystal clear, various and interesting. All kinds of stone flowers, stone curtains, stone birds and stone beasts can be seen everywhere. Among them, there are dozens of stalactite columns more than 20 meters high, the highest one is 39.98 meters high and 16.4 meters in diameter, which is rare in the world and the most in China.
