Behind Xingping fishing village, there are seven peaks, named qixiangu. It is said that the queen mother of heaven has seven maids to accompany her. One day, the queen mother was taking a nap. The seven fairies discussed going down to play and enjoying the beautiful scenery of the world. After passing Penglai Fairy Island, they drove to the fishing village and stopped to watch the scenery. They are happy to see the strange sight of green waves, green trees and green grass. Later, when the queen mother woke up, she couldn't see the seven fairies nearby. She was furious and looked down with her eyes. She saw the seven fairies enjoying the scenery here, just like she didn't move. The queen mother was very angry. With a finger, the seven fairies changed into seven peaks and remained in the world forever.

Tianshui Village

There is a plain area of about 20 mu at the junction of Majie mountain and Wuzhi Mountain. On both sides of the southeast are well preserved Shanzhai gates. The Shanzhai is magnificent and precipitous, which often urges people to make progress. All around are cliffs, only a path to pass, the terrain is very dangerous. The village was built during the Xianfeng Period of Qing Dynasty to avoid war and banditry. In the winter of 1921, Dr. Sun Yat Sen, the then president of the Republic of China, led a fleet of more than 300 ships to set up a base camp for the northern expedition in Guilin. When he arrived in Yangshuo, Sun Yat Sen made a speech on "the implementation of three democracies and the development of the source of wealth in Yangshuo". Zhao danyao, a member of the fishing village, was a loyal follower of Sun Yat Sen. he served as battalion commander and regiment commander in the National Revolutionary Army until he died in the battle and was named as major general. So the day after he arrived in Yangshuo to give a speech, Dr. Sun Yat Sen went to Xingping fishing village to publicize his revolutionary ideas. It's hard to find this path, so there are few people walking. You can buy something at the stall in the town and walk after asking. The bus from Yangshuo to Xingping usually stops at the gate of Lianhua hotel. After getting off the bus, go to the road on the right of Lianhua Hotel, turn right at the T-junction, then pass the cinema and go to the post and Telecommunications Hostel (on the left). You will see a small cement road out of town. After walking along this road for about 15 minutes, you will see a square pool where many people wash vegetables and drink water There is a small stone step road near the pool and it starts to go up the mountain (don't go any further along the concrete road, or you will arrive at the wharf). The roads up the mountain are all made by firewood choppers. There are many forks, but as long as you remember the principle of going to the right when you see the forks, you can't go wrong (it's about two passes, and you can see the fishing village around a mountain. The whole journey takes about an hour).

Tip: before you get to Xingping, you will pass by the welfare town. If you are interested and have time, you can get off the car and go to this small ancient town to have a look. (after you get off the car, there is a road. You will see the old house soon, and then you will come to the Lijiang River.
