Xuanyuan Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor in Pinggu, Beijing, is located in ximiaoshan, shandongzhuang village, shandongzhuang Town, Pinggu District. It has historical documents to study, sites and inscriptions to prove, archaeological excavations to the bottom and unearthed cultural relics to support, and historical and handed down "oral" living materials to supplement. It is an ancient mausoleum that really existed in history. Chen Zi'ang and Li Bai, the famous poets of Tang Dynasty, left poems chanting Jiqiu and xuanyuantai in Yuzi mountain of Pinggu. Chen Zi'ang said in his poem, "climb the Jiqiu to the north, and seek the ancient Xuanyuan platform." Li Bai said in his poem: "the snowflakes in Yanshan Mountain are as big as mats, which blow down Xuanyuan platform." According to records, in 109 ad, that is, in the second year of Yuanfeng, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty came here to offer sacrifices. There are records of the mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor in the records of Ming Dynasty, Tianfu Guangji and rixia Jiuwen Kao. Xuanyuan temple was destroyed in the late 1940s, and only a remnant stele of "the story of rebuilding Xuanyuan Temple" exists. The archaeological excavation in 1993 cleared up the remains of the Han Dynasty gray tiles and the rope pattern red pottery with clam shell powder, which confirmed that there were palace buildings in the Han Dynasty.
In the early 1990s, Su Bingqi, a great master of Chinese archaeology, Hu houxuan, a world-famous authority of Oracle Bone Inscriptions and business history, Zhao Guangxian, a great pre Qin historian, and many well-known scholars wrote articles or left ink treasures to confirm and demonstrate the mausoleum of Yellow Emperor Xuanyuan in Pinggu. Experts from the Institute of history of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and many research units have visited the Huangdi mausoleum in Xuanyuan, Pinggu, and they are very sure of the site.
In 1995, Pinggu restored Xuanyuan temple. The rebuilt Xuanyuan terrace is in the style of imitating Han Dynasty, built on the top of the mountain. Climbing up the granite steps, you can see the tall gate at the premiere. On both sides of the gate, the rosefinch spreads its wings and the lion stands aloof. Entering the gate, there are the remains of the stone tablet of the poem xuanyuantai written by Chen Zi'ang, a poet of the early Tang Dynasty, and the white jade stone tablet of the Han Dynasty in the story of rebuilding Xuanyuan temple. The main hall is a rebuilt eaves and veranda style building in the Han Dynasty, with red pillars standing in front of the corridor and high arches. In the center of the hall, there is a painted statue of the Yellow Emperor sitting on it. On the top of it, there is a huge "ancestor of humanity" inscribed in Han Zhuan and gold characters. On both sides are Fuxi and Shennong. Four silk calligraphy couplets stand side by side on the pillar. Nowadays, more and more people come to worship on the third day of the third lunar month.
