Qianmaping

Qianmaping village, located 13 kilometers north of Jinling Town, is a scenic spot in evangelical Mountain National Forest Park in Hunan Province. It is a large village in Jinling mountain area, with 283 households and 964 villagers.

Brief introduction of qianmaping

It is said that during the reign of Emperor Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty, Zhao Jinlong, the king of Yao, revolted and stationed troops on the empty flat in the middle of the village, which gave the village its name. There are Buddhist treasures, the king of gingko in the world, ten thousand mu bamboo sea and other landscapes.

Although qianmaping is a remote place with high mountains and long roads, it was a place where Buddhism prevailed in its early years. There were four nunneries within a few miles, including one temple within five li and one temple within ten li. Among them, gaofo nunnery built during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty was once very fragrant. In the fashion of the Republic of China, there were two monks living in the nunnery. Unfortunately, all the 24 Buddhist statues, Buddhist story scrolls, bells, cymbals and drums in the nunnery were destroyed during the cultural revolution Gongs, gongs and other objects were scattered in Ding villagers' homes.

King of Ginkgo

There is a 3000 year old ginkgo tree in front of gaofo'an, which is called Mao because of its intricate roots and numerous branches. It is known as the "king of Ginkgo in the world".

The height of the tree is 63 meters, the diameter at breast height of the trunk is about 4 meters, and the girth is about 11.9 meters. The lower part of the trunk is hollow, and there is a door opening more than one or two meters high on the west side, in which there is still more than a farmer's table. There was a urchin herding cattle into them, with bricks and stones to block half of the door, to play on their own. This shows that the tree is strong and strong.

According to the local genealogy, the tree was a thousand year old tree in the Song Dynasty, and it has been more than a thousand years since the Song Dynasty, so the ginkgo tree is about 3000 years old.

The trunk of the tree is covered with milk. There is a saying that "there is no milk on the tree". The longevity of the tree can also be seen from the milk.

In order to build a "world ginkgo king" village, evangelical Mountain National Forest Park invested a lot of money in the maintenance of scenic spots.

Ten thousand mu Bamboo Sea

Qianmaping has fresh air, beautiful scenery and simple folk customs, just like a paradise in the world.

At present, the village has more than 7000 mu of Nanzhu, which is connected with the surrounding bamboo forests of tuditang and modaoling village, forming a magnificent bamboo sea of 10000 mu, which is amazing and a rare tourism resource.
