Activities.
At the beginning of the 20th century, Taoist Liang ren'an and others received the red pine Fairy Statue from Puqing ancestral altar in Xiqiao Mountain, Guangdong Province. At first, he began his teaching in Wan Chai and worshipped the red pine fairy.
In 1921, under the guidance of the immortal, they chose Longxiang road to build the ancestral temple at the foot of Shishan mountain in Kowloon. Later, with more and more believers, incense became one of the most famous temples in Hong Kong and Kowloon.
It is said that Huang Da Xian "answers every request", and his signature is especially effective. Every year, a lot of Shinshin Shin are competing to make "touzhu incense" on the first day of the lunar new year, which has become an annual Chinese New Year celebration in the city.
According to the records of Jinhua mansion in the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty, Huang Daxian, formerly named Huang Chuping, was born in Lanxi, Jinhua, Zhejiang Province. He was born into a poor family in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (328 AD). When he was 8 years old, he was herding on Chisong mountain in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province; when he was 15 years old, he met the Taoist Shanbu.
Seeing that Chuping had a different appearance, Shanbu took him to Chisong mountain in Jinhua to practice for 40 years, and finally became an immortal. Therefore, Huang Daxian takes "chisongzi" as another name.
Later, his brother Huang Chu got up to look for him. When the brothers met, they asked, "where is the sheep?" Chuping yelled: "sheep up!" the white stone on the hillside immediately turned into sheep.
The couplet at the gate of Huangdaxian temple in Guangzhou, "Chiyang passed on to Jin Dynasty, riding crane to the South", records the legend of Huangdaxian becoming an immortal. In the rebuilt temple, the couplet hanging in front of the gate of the Huang Da Xian hall is also the same.
Taoism is polytheism. Among the many gods, Huang Daxian is quite famous. At that time, Huang Da Xian traveled all over the world to cure the disease and save the people, and to help the world in danger. He left behind many immortal ways. His merits and virtues were well known to all, and he was supported by the general public, and he set up temples to honor him.
Huangdaxian temple in Guangzhou was built in 1899 A.D. in the Qing Dynasty, and was rebuilt in 1904 with donations from enthusiasts from all walks of life.
In those days, although it was a remote place, it was once one of the religious holy places in Guangzhou. Its incense was very popular, which had a great influence on the urban area of Guangzhou and the Pearl River Delta.
Although the ancestral hall was destroyed in 1910, the relics left behind by the old ancestral hall, such as stone couplets, relief stone columns, flat forehead, door decorations, stone lions, are decorated with exquisite carvings. From this, we can imagine the grand scale and exquisite architectural art of the ancestral hall at that time.
In 1915, the former director of Wong Tai Sin Temple, Taoist priest Liang ren'an, moved south to Hong Kong with his portrait, spirit stick and medicine stick, and built the Wong Tai Sin Temple in 1921.
Similarly, Huang Daxian is deeply believed and worshipped by people at home and abroad. Since the reform and opening up, the majority of enthusiasts at home and abroad have asked for the restoration of Fangcun Wong Tai Sin Temple.
With the approval of relevant departments, Guangzhou Jiayou Scenic Spot Development Co., Ltd. was formed by (Hong Kong Canada land) Co., Ltd. and Fangcun new lizhiwan Industrial Development Co., Ltd. to be responsible for the reconstruction project of Wong Tai Sin Temple. After two years of planning and design, the ground was broken in November 1997, and the first phase of the project was completed on February 6, 1999 for people from all walks of life to visit.
Before 1921, Huangdaxian temple was originally located in Guangzhou. The Huangdaxian temple in Guangzhou has a history of 100 years, because the political situation in Guangzhou was very complicated at that time. At that time, Guangzhou was under the control of Chen Jiongming. He suddenly described himself as a "revolutionary" and said that if he wanted to get rid of superstition, he would demolish temples to build roads or sell land to build houses. The most important thing was to seize the opportunity to occupy real estate.
Many temples suffered at that time. Huang Da Xian temple was naturally affected in the era when the warlords used the name of breaking away superstition to scrape the land for real. Fortunately, Hong Kong gentry and merchants Li Yimei, Tan Jiesheng, Liang ren'an, Guo Shuting, Zhang dianchen, Chen Guishi and Tang Liquan brought Huang Da Xian's precious statue to Hong Kong and placed it in SISE garden, which made it possible for Huang Da Xian's precious statue to be preserved.
In 1915, the Taoist couple Liang ren'an and Liang Jun transferred their father and son to Hong Kong from Puguang ancestral altar in Xiqiao Mountain, Guangdong Province.
Originally worshipped in Wan Chai, in 1921, Da Xian Chi Shi went to the auspicious land of Zhuyuan and built "SISE garden" until now.
Originally the private monastic villas of the above-mentioned gentry and merchants, siseyuan was not a ginseng God when Huang Daxian came to Hong Kong in early 1921. However, because many gentry and merchants were fond of charity, they set the opening hours, collected incense, used it for charity, and gave medicine to them every year.
At noon on September 25, 1956, Huang Yundan, the Prime Minister of the temple, formally handed over the income of the temple to the third Donghua Hospital.
Wong Tai Sin Temple experienced the Second World War, and the Allied planes bombed it many times with carpet style, but all the plants and trees in the temple were safe and sound.
The former Wong Tai Sin Temple in 1915, the Taoist priest Liang ren'an and the Taoist priest Liang Jun of Puqing altar in Xiqiao, Guangdong Province brought the portrait of master Wong Tai Sin to Hong Kong. They successively opened an altar in Chawei street and dadadi. Later, they set up an altar in the east of Wan Chai avenue to serve master Wong Tai Sin and opened a drugstore. Two years later, the altar was destroyed by fire and moved to the east side of Wan Chai sea.
Later, in 1921, Huang Da Xian sent the Taoist priest to build a temple in the area of Jiulong city. When the Taoist priest went to a mountain near Zhuyuan village, he saw that he was smart and beautiful, and then he asked the Taoist priest for instructions. He got the message that "this is the auspicious place of Phoenix wings", which is suitable for the opening of the temple. So he decided to build the temple at the current site, which was completed and put into use in July of the same year.
In August 1922, siseyuan was officially established to manage the ancestral temple. At the beginning of its construction, the Huang Da Xian temple was originally a private Taoist temple, which was only for Taoist couples and their families to visit.
Later, there were more and more worshippers. In 1934, due to the restrictions of the temple regulations and the land lease, the park could no longer let the people in. After Zhou junnian, a member of the then Chinese Temple Committee, asked the Secretary for civil affairs for permission, the park was allowed to open to worshippers on the first day of the first month of each year.
It was not until August 21, 1956 that the Wong Tai Sin Temple was officially approved by the government to be fully opened to Shanxin.
On April 3, 2008, the park announced that it would spend 140 million yuan to carry out the largest planned expansion project in 35 years, including the expansion of the main hall dedicated to master Huang Daxian. For the first time, it would build an underground palace "Yuanchen hall" dedicated to Taisui at the bottom of the main hall.
During the project, the portrait of master Wong Tai Sin will be moved to Fengming building. The expansion project is expected to take about one and a half years.
On December 17, 2008, Wong Tai Sin Temple will launch the "online blessing" for the first time next week, with real-time incense display in seven nights and six places. Shanxin, even when traveling or on business, or tourists, can pray for their homes, for themselves, and for Hong Kong through the Internet, and then the Taoist priest will choose the day to report. However, there are no questions about vulgarity, curse, and political issues.
