Li Dazhao (1889-1927), born in leting County, Hebei Province, is a pioneer of Chinese Communist movement, a great Marxist and one of the founders of the Communist Party of China. In 1913, he studied in Japan. After returning to China in 1916, he actively participated in the new culture movement and the May 4th movement. He served as the director of the library of Peking University and professor of economics. He took part in the work of new youth, founded weekly review with Chen Duxiu, publicized the victory of the October Revolution in Russia, introduced Marxism, initiated and organized the Marxist Theory Research Association and the Communist group. After the founding of the Communist Party of China, it guided the northern revolutionary work on behalf of the Central Committee and was elected as a member of the Central Committee at the second, third and fourth National Congress of the Communist Party of China. In 1922, he negotiated with Sun Yat Sen and established the first cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party. On April 6, 1927, together with more than 80 revolutionaries, Zhang zuolin, a feudal warlord, was arrested and tortured. The executioner punched a bamboo stick into his fingernails until he was stripped of his fingernails. He remained unyielding and died bravely with 19 other volunteers on April 28. He was 38 years old. He was buried in Wan'an cemetery in 1933.
Victimization process
April 28, 1927, I will never forget that day. It was the day of my father's death, sixteen years ago. That spring, my father came back very late every night. Every morning, I don't know when he went out again. Sometimes he stayed at home, concentrating on books and papers. I squatted beside him and watched him throw books and words into the fire.
I asked him strangely, "Dad, why do you want to burn it? It's a pity. " After a while, the father replied, "if you don't want it, burn it. What do you know? " My father is very kind. He never scolded us or beat us. I always like to ask my father many silly questions. No matter how busy he is, he is always very interested in my questions and always tells me patiently. This time, I don't know why, my father answered me so vaguely. Later, I heard from my mother that warlord zhang zuolin would send someone to inspect. In order to avoid the destruction of the party organization, my father had to burn some books and documents. Two days later, something happened.
Worker Yan zhensan went shopping in the morning, but he didn't come back until night. The next day, my father found out that he had been caught in the police hall. We are all worried about this worker. The situation is more and more serious, and father's work is more and more tense. His friends advised him to leave Beijing, and his mother advised him several times. The father firmly said to his mother, "don't I often tell you? I can't leave Beijing easily. You need to know what time it is and how important the work here is.
How can I leave? " Mother had to say nothing more. It was a terrible day. On the morning of April 6, my sister changed into a new jacket, and my mother took her for a walk in the amusement park. My father was writing in the inner room, and I was sitting on a wooden chair outside reading a newspaper. Just a short period of news has not finished, I heard PA, PA A few sharp shots followed by a tumultuous shout. "What? Daddy I asked my father, glaring. "Nothing, don't be afraid. Xing'er, follow me outside and have a look. "
Father took out a shiny pistol from the drawer and walked out. I followed him closely, walked out of the yard and hid in a secluded hut for a while. After a while, there was a heavy sound of shoes outside. My heart beat violently, and looked at my father with horror. "Don't let one go!" There was a rude roar outside the window. Gendarmes in grey uniforms and long leather boots, detectives in plain clothes and policemen in black uniforms swarmed into the small room. They surrounded us like a group of demons. Each of them had a pistol at my father and me.
Among the military and police, I found Yan zhensan, a worker who was arrested a few days ago. With a rope tied to his arm, he was pulled by a fat undercover detective. The plain clothes detective pointed to his father and asked Yan zhensan, "do you know him?" Yan zhensan shook his head. There was a pale face in the middle of his long hair, and it was obvious that he had been tortured. "Well! You don't know! I know him
The detective sneered, and told his group, "look, don't let him commit suicide, take the pistol first!" They took his pistol and searched his whole body. His father maintained his usual stern attitude and did not reason with them. Because he understood that there was no reason for them. The cruel bandits tied up their father and dragged him away. They took me, too. In the courtyard of the police hall surrounded by high brick walls, I saw my mother and sister were also brought.
We're in a women's detention facility. More than ten days later, we never saw our father. One day, when we were having lunch, we heard the police calling our mother and daughter's names, saying that they were for trial. In court, we met with our father. Father was still wearing his old grey cotton padded gown, but he didn't wear glasses. I saw his calm and kind face under his long shaggy hair. "Daddy I couldn't help shouting. My mother cried, and my sister cried with her. "No shouting!" The judge picked up the wood and slapped it heavily on the table. Father looked at us and didn't say a word to us. The expression on his face was very stable and calm.
His heart was occupied by a great power. This power is what he usually tells us - his confidence in the revolutionary cause. "This is my wife." He said, pointing to his mother. Then he pointed to my sister and me, "these are my two girls." "Is she your oldest child?" The judge pointed at me and asked my father. "Yes, I am the biggest."
I was afraid that my father would tell me that my brother was coming, so I rushed to tell him. I don't know where the wit and courage came from at that time. "Don't talk too much!" Angrily, the judge picked up the board in front of him and slapped it hard. The father immediately got over it and said, "she's my oldest child. My wife is a countryman. My children are still young, they don't know anything. It has nothing to do with them. " My father finished this and looked at us again. The judge ordered us to be detained. So we met with our father and left in a hurry.
Unexpectedly, this is the last time we meet. On the evening of the 28th, the police told us to pack up and leave the detention center. When we got home, it was all dark. The next day, my uncle went to the street to buy newspapers. He came back crying from the street with a newspaper in his hand. When I saw that "Li Dazhao and others executed the hanging yesterday" was printed on the top of the newspaper, I immediately felt that there was a cloud in front of me and I fainted on the bed.
My mother was so sad that she passed out three times. Every time, she just woke up and passed out. After a long time, my mother woke up and asked me in a low voice, "what was the date yesterday? Remember, yesterday was the day your father was killed. " I cried again, picked up the newspaper from the ground, clenched my teeth, and reluctantly read it again. I whispered to my mother, "Mom, yesterday was April 28." Mother nodded her head slightly.
