Main attractions
Dading Pavilion is in the northeast of dabaoji palace. According to the records of Lijiang Prefecture written by Guangxu, Dading pavilion was built by Tu Si mu in the Ming Dynasty, and was inscribed with the word "Dading" with strong calligraphy. The pavilion is surrounded by copper and the well is made of aragonite. In the eighth year of the reign of Emperor Qianlong, the temple was restored as before.
Inside the pavilion, there are inscriptions written by Guan xuexuan, the magistrate of Lijiang, recording the construction process of Dading Pavilion.
Dading pavilion was originally composed of several courtyards from east to west. Now there is only one courtyard. It is a quadrangle courtyard with single eaves on the top of Xieshan mountain. There is a square gate outside, and a courtyard inside. It is small and exquisite. There are corridor houses on both sides. Standing in front of the pavilion, the corridor houses are low, with mountains on three sides. You can have a panoramic view. It is quite interesting that "green mountains make walls", and it is in harmony with the delicate style of the pavilion. In front of the pavilion, there are carved stone columns which are as visible as Huabiao.
Dading Pavilion is located in the east of the courtyard, with three rooms on each side, 6.86 meters wide, 5.25 meters deep and 5.2 meters high. Between the front and back eaves and pillars, there is a partition fan, which is divided into three parts. The front is the corridor, the middle is the worship court, and the back is the Buddha statue. There is no Dougong on the lower eaves, but seven steps and three warps on the upper eaves. The three clouds on the top are of moderate proportion and exquisite carving. In the pavilion, Liang Fang, Ge fan, que Ti and other components are exquisitely carved. The walls are also inlaid with aragonite, which is unique to the ancient buildings in Lijiang.
Features of scenic spots
There are 17 murals, 69.96 square meters, on the walls of Dading Pavilion and Gallery House. The murals in the main hall are painted with joyful Buddha, with smooth lines and concise brushwork. They have the style of typical Thangka paintings on the Qinghai Tibet Plateau and strong folk flavor.
The South and North porch houses are painted with "water moon Guanyin", with Manjusri, Puxian, dashizhi and other Buddha statues, which are similar to a landscape figure painting. There is a painting of Guanyin Bodhisattva. Guanyin sits on the cliff beside the lotus pool, with a lotus foot and a red belt in purple. Behind him, there are many flowers. In front of him, the lotus is gorgeous and the water is rippling. The flying Fairies in the upper right corner are even more exquisite in the murals.
