Heroic deeds
Liu Daoyi (1884-1906) was born in Xiangtan County in Hengshan, Hunan Province. In February 1904, he joined the Huaxing meeting with his brother Liu Kuiyi. In March, he went to Japan to organize the secret group "the meeting of ten" with ten people, such as Qiu Jin and Liu Fuquan, aiming at "resisting the Qing Dynasty and restoring China". He also participated in the "Hongmen Heaven Earth Society" organized by Feng Ziyou and others in Yokohama. He joined the league in August 1905. In the autumn of 1906, he planned the Ping Liu Li uprising with his comrades. On December 4 of the same year, the uprising broke out ahead of time and died in Changsha on December 31. Liu was the first student in Japan who was killed because of the anti Qing revolution, and also the first martyr among the members of the alliance who shed blood for the revolution.
Ma Fuyi (about 1865-1905), a native of Bishui village, jishuqiao Township, Xiangtan County, formerly known as Fuyi. In his early years, he joined the elder brother's Association and founded huilunshan (Huilongshan) as the leader. He opened the hall, released tickets and recruited party members. His influence spread all over Liling, Xiangtan and Liuyang. In 1904, he conspired with Liu Daoyi and Huang Xing to revolt in Jiachen, Changsha. He took his congregation as the volunteer army and military academic circles as the command. He responded to the uprising in five different ways. When it came to light, he fled Guangxi. In 1905, he returned to Hunan and was ready to launch another uprising in Hongjiang. He was arrested halfway and died in Changsha in April.
Wang Du (1864-1912) is a native of Xiangtan County. Poor family, studious, pioneering spirit. In 1906, he went to Japan and joined Hongwen University, where he was interested in the national revolution. After returning to China, he served as a physical and chemical teacher in Xiangtan middle school. In June 1911, he went to Jilin Fu middle school as a teacher. When we heard the news of Wuchang Uprising, we failed to plot the uprising. He went to Shandong to instigate a new army uprising and occupied Huangxian County of Dengzhou, where he served as a secretary. On February 4, 1912, the Qing army launched a counterattack against Huangxian County, led hundreds of people to hold on for 8 days, exhausted all their ammunition and captured the city on the 11th. When honest officials ask, "are you a revolutionary party?" Wang Du replied generously: "it's better to be a revolutionary ghost than a Manchu slave! The elder man died, so why ask? "So he died calmly.
Yi Benxi (1887-1911) is a native of Xiangxiang City. After graduating from Changsha military school, he joined the Huaxing society following the Huangxing revolution at the age of 16. Later, he was wanted by the Qing government for organizing a volunteer team in the school. He avoided Wuchang and went into the army. Xuan, together with Hu Ying, LV Dasen, Song Jiaoren and other organizations, organized the "science tutorial center" to carry out the revolution in the name of science tutorial. After the failure of Huanghuagang uprising, Yi Benxi was greatly stimulated and attacked. He died of illness in Changsha on May 19, 1911.
