Yaoxian Museum
Yaoxian museum is located in Xuegu lane, North Street, Yaoxian County, Shaanxi Province. It is a local comprehensive museum.
Development history
According to the stele of "Yaozhou revitalizing zhouxue Ji" carved in the ninth year of Yuanhu in the Northern Song Dynasty (1093) and the records of "Yaozhou Zhi" by Chen Shilin in in the Qing Dynasty, Yaozhou Confucian temple was founded by Zhizhou Shihuo in the third year of Jiahu (1058). Wei Bixing, the first governor of the state in the early Ming Dynasty, rebuilt it in 1372, and added halberd gate and Lingxing gate in 1376. By the end of Ming Dynasty, it had formed a relatively complete scale. The construction system follows the rule of "left temple and right learning", that is, the Confucian temple is on the left and the school is on the right, which is different from the setting of "integration of temple and learning" since the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
The site was the second batch of key cultural relics protection units in Shaanxi Province in 1957. According to the records of Yaozhou, the Confucian temple was founded in jiayouzhong of Song Dynasty (1056-1063), rebuilt in yanyouzhong of Yuan Dynasty (1314-1320), destroyed in the war at the end of Yuan Dynasty, and renovated six times in Ming Dynasty. In 1696 and 1736-1795, there were three renovations, and one in 1957. After the county museum was established in 1984, Dacheng hall was renovated in 1986. Dacheng hall was built in 1372. The exterior structure of the main hall is rigorous and magnificent.
architectural composition
Yaoxian Museum, located in Xuegu lane of Yaozhou City, is an ancient building group Yaozhou Confucian temple with a history of nearly 950 years. It faces south to the north, and from south to north is Lingxing gate, halberd gate, east-west ear room, east-west veranda and Dacheng hall. The museum area covers an area of 5883 square meters, with a construction area of 1951 square meters.
Collection
There are more than 300 cultural relics in the collection. Among them, there are "daguanshengzubei" (1094), "yubishouzhao" (1118), "Yaozhou newly built temple gate and veranda" (1302), "Yaozhou re built learning" and "Yaozhou reconstruction of temple learning" (1477), etc.
The statue of Yao Boduo is also known as the statue stele of Yao Wenqian and the stone statue created by the brothers of Yao Boduo. Yao Boduo statue stele is the earliest Taoist statue stele known so far. It was written in the 20th year of Taihe in the Northern Wei Dynasty (AD 496). It is 1.30 meters high, 0.30 meters thick and 0.72 meters wide. The top seat is missing, and the mortise and tenon trace still exists. It is carved on all sides. In 1936, it was moved to the forest of Steles in Yaoxian county. Now it is stored in Yaoxian County Museum in Shaanxi Province. Together with other stone carvings in Yaowang mountain, it is listed as the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
The stele is engraved on all sides, with 624 characters on the front. There are inscriptions, thin strokes, unique Fengshen. This is a Taoist statue stele, which is very special in writing and engraving. Its pen is square, round, hidden and exposed. The style of regular script has the meaning of official script, and its structure is quite different from that of regular script and official script. However, it can also be seen in the clumsy, clever in the clumsy, and unique. The author of this book may be from the lower class, so there are many other words. From the fact that many lines in the stone carving are uneven in size, it seems that those carved directly on the stone with a knife instead of a calligraphy elixir appear to be very natural and harmonious. They also show a kind of strange personality between the lines, which is a different kind of calligraphy in the Northern Dynasty. Yu Youren once praised this stele together with Guangwu general stele and Murong en stele as "three unique steles in the middle of Qin Dynasty".
