Tengzhou museum was founded in 1956, the venue is located in the northeast of Longquan square, Fuqian Road, Tengzhou City, and the West Bank of Jinghe River. It is a square building of Han and Tang Dynasty style with one floor underground and five floors above the ground. The new hall has five regular exhibition halls and four temporary exhibition halls.

Tengzhou Museum has more than 50000 cultural relics, including 56 national first-class cultural relics. It covers the precious cultural relics from the Beixin culture 7300 years ago to the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Among them, the bronzes and jades of Fangguo in Shang and Zhou dynasties are the most exquisite. The number of bronzes in the collection ranks the first at the county level in China. As an important part of the historical and cultural square pattern of "one tower and six Pavilions", the new museum will become an important window for publicizing Tengzhou's history, displaying exquisite cultural relics and carrying forward excellent culture.

Development history

In 1956, Tengxian cultural center established a cultural relics exhibition room, which is the earliest prototype of Tengzhou Museum. Tengxian museum was officially established in 1958, with three exhibition rooms of "the Ministry of nature", "the Ministry of history" and "the Ministry of social construction", and a corridor of stone inscriptions, with a collection of more than 500 cultural relics. In 1986, it moved to the newly renovated Wangjia ancestral hall in ximenli street. There are six exhibition rooms, including Ceramic Museum, calligraphy and painting Museum, bronze Museum, ancient coin museum, bronze mirror Museum and Beixin Culture Museum. In 1995, it was moved to Xueyuan Road, Tengzhou City. The site of Tengzhou Museum covers an area of 11 mu, with a construction area of 5754 square meters. It is an antique high-rise building.

In 2019, it moved to the new site of Longquan square in Tengzhou City, which is a local history museum. Tengzhou museum is also one of the largest museums in China. Human history

Tengzhou City, located in the south of Shandong Province, is named after the hometown of the ancient Teng state. In the East, it is close to the Taiyi mountain range of Wanshan mountain, and in the west, it is close to the Weishan Lake. It has a population of 1.7 million and an area of 1485 square kilometers. With a long history, Tengzhou is one of the birthplaces of ancient oriental culture, the hometown of Teng, Xue and Ni, and the hometown of Mozi, the sage of science. Many historical celebrities, such as Teng Wengong, Meng Changjun, Mao Sui, Feng Huan, Su Dongpo and so on, have been here.
