Yandi square

Yandi square is located at the top of Tiantaishan Road, Tianyuan District, Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province. It is the main entrance and exit of the Oriental Dragon Tower. It integrates the functions of culture, assembly, entertainment, fitness, leisure, commerce and transportation. Yandi square is 200 kilometers away from Yandi mausoleum. The main building is a huge statue of Emperor Yan, surrounded by a pedestal symbolizing the "God of the sun" and a crescent shaped fountain symbolizing the spirit of Emperor Yan and the brightness of the sun and the moon, as well as a large relief and totem column with the theme of praising the great achievements of Emperor Yan. She integrates history, culture and modern economy into one, with the aim of glorifying her ancestors and carrying forward the spirit of Emperor Yan as the sustenance, revitalizing Zhuzhou for eternity.

Basic introduction

Yandi square is located in Zhuzhou high tech Development Zone. The whole square covers an area of 17hm2, and the plane design is fan-shaped. The square is divided into seven functional areas: cultural scenic area, green scenic area, assembly square, leisure and fitness, business services and transportation distribution. Each functional area is composed of three landscape sequences: leading, core and background through the planned radial and circular road network. The core part of the cultural scenic spot is located on the central axis, and the main building is a giant statue of Yan Emperor with a height of 19.97m, which means that it was built in 1997. Surrounded by the giant statue, there is a pedestal symbolizing the "God of the sun" and a crescent shaped fountain symbolizing the spirit of Emperor Yan and the glory of the sun and the moon. There are large relief sculptures and totem pillars with the theme of praising the great achievements of Emperor Yan. An International Expo Center with a total area of 13000 square meters is planned to be built under the square.

Yandi is the largest cultural square in South China.
