Introduction to scenic spots
Bozhou octagonal platform was built by Cao Cao, Emperor Wu of Wei Dynasty, to reward the meritorious officers and men and to entertain the elders in his hometown. Because there are pavilions and octagonal pavilions on the platform, it is called "octagonal platform". Cao Cao had made a blood vow with his brother in his hometown on this stage, also known as paying homage to Taiwan. Now it is a key cultural relic protection unit.
After Cao Cao captured and killed Lv Bu, defeated Yuan Shao, and won the battle of Guandu, he returned to his hometown in the first month of the seventh year of Jian'an (202). He built a big feast hall on the octagonal platform of Sanli in the south of the city to reward the soldiers and the elders of his hometown, and issued the military order. The original building on the octagonal platform, such as the grand banquet hall, was abandoned early. The existing platform site covers an area of about 3000 square meters and is about 4.5 meters high.
Structure introduction
The original buildings on the octagonal platform, such as the grand banquet hall, were abandoned early. The existing site covers an area of about 3000 square meters, with a height of about 4.5 meters and a protection area of 39000 square meters. Among the relics related to Cao Cao's military in Bozhou, there is also a street called "douwu camp". Only the narrow streets occupied by modern buildings remain in douwu camp. Except for the doorplate of douwu camp, there is no trace of Cao Cao's military training in those years.
