A long time ago, there was a Beijing official who came to Guangdong. Seeing that Guangdong was rich in land and abundant in resources, he invited a wise Feng Shui gentleman at a high price to take Guangdong away.

Mr. Feng Shui thought it was not difficult to move Guangdong away. He told the Beijing official, "Guangdong has a thin stratum and seems to be the bottom of a ship. As long as three masts are installed on the ship, Guangdong can be moved away." After hearing this, the Beijing official was very happy and asked Mr. Feng Shui how to install the three masts.

Mr. Feng Shui said: "in terms of Feng Shui practice, if you choose a good feng shui location and build three towers, it's like having three masts (i.e. three sails) on a ship, and then building an altar to borrow the east wind, you can make the Guangdong ship ride the wind and waves and transport it to the north." After hearing this, the Beijing official asked Mr. Feng Shui to explore the acupoints as soon as possible.

The feng shui master was fascinated by Qian Cai, so he immediately took all the compass and other tools and traveled from Guangzhou to the south. After some searching, he finally chose to build three towers in Chigang, Pazhou and Lianhua Mountain. The Beijing official immediately assigned people to start construction.

Soon, the three magnificent pagodas were built one after another, and the Beijing officials and Mr. Feng Shui were very happy.

At this time, Mr. Feng Shui's daughter-in-law, a Cantonese, was very angry when she learned of the plot between her husband and the Beijing official.

She thought that the stratum of Guangdong is like the bottom of a ship. Three sails can sail a long distance. If the bottom of the ship is pierced and then the anchor is dropped, the ship will not be able to sail.

She has made up her mind, so she came to three places where the tower was built to inform the local villagers of the Beijing officials' plot to transport Guangdong away, and point out the way to break the three masts. That is to dig a big well beside each tower, which is equivalent to digging a hole in the bottom of the ship, and then laying a big iron chain on the wellhead. It's like throwing a hole on the ship Anchor, in this way, the three masts will not work.

As a result, the villagers in three places acted according to her instructions, which really broke the plot of Beijing officials to move Guangdong.

After the Lotus Mountain pagoda was built, the emperor once granted the imperial edict of "no decay, no collapse". Up to now, although the pagoda has gone through hundreds of years of vicissitudes, it still stands on the edge of the lion ocean.

More than 40 years ago, when the Japanese invaders invaded China, a fleet sailed into the sea of Humen. Seeing that there was a wall under the tower, they suspected that the tower was a watchtower.
