Kunshan City Ecological Forest Park is an urban wetland park gradually constructed and improved by Forest Park Co., Ltd. with the concept of "selfless dedication, sharing green" through independent operation and self financing market operation mode.

brief introduction

The park is located in the northwest of Kunshan City, 4 km away from the city center, with a total area of 3150 mu. Since the end of 2001, the first phase of construction has been started. At the end of 2002, the park has been opened to tourists and self raised funds. Two large-scale post function upgrading and reconstruction and several local landscape optimization construction have been carried out. After more than ten years of unremitting efforts, the park has gradually opened up wetland ecological garden, science popularization experience area, agricultural culture center, herb garden, plum garden, bamboo garden, peony and peony garden, Sunflower Garden, bird island and other characteristic scenic spots from a "big nursery" in the early stage of preparation. The vegetation of the park has also increased from nearly 100 species and more than 800000 plants in the early stage to more than 110 families, 180 genera, 570 species and more than 120 species In addition, 34 species of mammals in 9 families of 5 orders, 31 species of amphibians and reptiles in 6 families, 173 species of birds in 44 families of 15 orders, 35 species of fish in 13 families of 6 orders, 36 species of benthos in 10 families of 3 classes, and nearly 500 species of insects were also detected.

At the beginning of 2014, the park also elaborately planned and built the first "forest flower sea" characteristic brand activity project, which enriched the park's characteristic tourism culture, improved the sensory experience of ecological science popularization, served the leisure life of the masses, and attracted a large number of tourists.

With the improvement of park infrastructure, the gradual optimization of landscape environment, the continuous strengthening of functional support and the continuous improvement of service quality, Kunshan urban ecological forest park has become a comprehensive urban wetland park with the characteristics of urban wetland protection and restoration, ecological tourism and vacation, ecological scientific research and popular science experience. It was rated as National Urban Wetland Park in June 2008, national science popularization education base in October 2012, and national 3A tourist attraction in November 2013. In the past three years, the park has also been listed in the list of important wetlands in Suzhou City and the ecological red line protection area of Kunshan City. It has been awarded the first health theme park in Kunshan and other honors. It receives about 1.7 million tourists per year for free.

2001

On June 14, 2001, Kunshan municipal government adopted a plan to operate the urban ecological forest park with the concept of "modern urban management", and Kunshan Urban Ecological Forest Park carried out preliminary planning.

On August 23, 2001, Kunshan City Ecological Forest Park preparation office was established. Gao Xuekun, executive vice mayor of Kunshan City, was the commander in chief, Wang Zhenlu, director of the Municipal Construction Commission, was the deputy commander in chief, Zhang Jianwen, deputy director of the Municipal Construction Commission, was the director of the preparation office, and Chen Jianzhong was the deputy director of the preparation office.

On September 24, 2001, the construction planning scheme of Kunshan City Ecological Forest Park Phase I project passed the planning demonstration and entered the preparatory stage of project bidding.

On October 26, 2001, Gao Xuekun, member of the Standing Committee of the municipal Party committee and executive vice mayor, convened relevant responsible persons of Yushan Town, municipal construction committee, finance, land and other units to make arrangements for the construction of urban ecological forest park. After research, it is decided that Zhang Jianwen will be the chairman of Kunshan City Ecological Forest Park Co., Ltd. and Chen Jianzhong will be the general manager.

On November 27, 2001, four construction units were determined through public bidding, and the first phase of the project entered a comprehensive and tense construction stage.

2002

After more than one year's construction, the park began to take shape at the end of 2002, completed the construction of water system, road framework, terrain, greening, etc., built 177 hectares of ecological green space, planted more than 100 kinds of seedlings, more than 800000 plants, and relocated 300 farmers.

2003

On January 24, 2003, the provincial expert investigation group conducted on-the-spot investigation and evaluation on the construction of national ecological demonstration area of Forest Park.

On February 26, 2003, Vice Premier Li Lanqing inspected Kunshan urban ecological forest park and listened to the report of Kunshan urban development planning.

On February 28, 2003, in order to survive and develop the forest park and increase the company's income, it was decided to establish Kunshan University Park Municipal Engineering Construction Co., Ltd. as a joint venture with Kunshan University Park Construction Co., Ltd.

On March 7, 2003, the central civilization office came to the park for investigation.

On March 20, 2003, the research group of Kunshan City to create a national garden city visited the park.

On March 22, 2003, Li Yuanchao, Secretary of Jiangsu provincial Party committee, accompanied by the leaders of Suzhou City and Kunshan City, made an investigation on the forest park.

On April 20, 2003, the research group of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee visited the forest park accompanied by Zhang Lei, Secretary of the CPC Kunshan Municipal Committee and director of the National People's Congress, and sun Youqiang, deputy secretary of the CPC Kunshan Municipal Committee.

On April 23, 2003, Liang Lingguang, former governor of Guangdong Province, and his party visited the forest park accompanied by Zhang Guohua, deputy secretary of the CPC Kunshan Municipal Committee and mayor, and Xia Liangxin, deputy secretary of the working committee of Kunshan Development Zone.

On May 30, 2003, Feng Mingang, deputy secretary of the provincial Party committee, visited Kunming for the first time. Accompanied by Cao Xinping, Secretary of the CPC Kunshan Municipal Committee, Zhang Guohua, deputy secretary of the CPC Kunshan Municipal Committee, sun Youqiang, deputy secretary of the CPC Kunshan Municipal Committee and Xu Qinglong, Secretary of the CPC Kunshan Municipal Committee and Discipline Inspection Commission, he visited the forest park.

On October 21, 2003, after the study of the working committee of municipal organs of the CPC Kunshan Municipal Committee, the Party branch of Kunshan City Ecological Forest Park Co., Ltd. was established, with Comrade Wang Youliang as the Secretary of the Party branch.

On October 21, 2003, Kunshan Yucheng Property Management Co., Ltd., a subsidiary company, was established and Wang Guozhong was employed as the general manager.

On November 19, 2003, Zhang Lei, director of the foreign trade and Economic Cooperation Department of Jiangsu Province, led a 60 member delegation to the forest park, accompanied by Cao Xinping, Secretary of the CPC Kunshan Municipal Committee, Qian Jiede, deputy secretary of the CPC Kunshan Municipal Committee, and Wang Guozhen, vice mayor of the people's Government of Kunshan City.

2004

On April 8, 2004, the planning scheme of Kunshan City Ecological Forest Park Forest Park Phase II project passed the demonstration and entered the preparation stage before bidding.

On June 6, 2004, the delegation of the Central Party school visited Kunshan shenlai forest park.

On July 15, 2004, the construction unit of Forest Park Phase II project was determined through public bidding, and the project entered the construction stage.

On September 20, 2004, in order to expand the business of the company, strengthen the management of the company and clarify the management responsibilities, the board of directors discussed, elected and approved Huang Yiheng as the chairman of the board of directors and re appointed Huang Yiheng as the general manager.
