Cross Canyon

FengChuan mysterious cross Canyon is a magical virgin land with natural and simple scenery. The clear water of the stream can be compared with that of Zhedong Grand Canyon. There are mountains on both sides of the canyon, cliffs, lush trees and flowing waterfalls along the way, which is slightly better than that of Zhedong Grand Canyon. Since the hunters moved out more than ten years ago, almost no one set foot in this section of Canyon except local hunters. Deep in the canyon, there is a 200 meter high cliff and a natural cross standing abruptly, which makes people marvel. Under the cross are two natural stone towers, which are very spectacular.

Hiking strategy

It is named after the word "cross" above the cliff in the deep valley. There are three crossing routes in total. The first half of the route coincides with each other, mainly along the stream at the bottom of the canyon. You can flexibly choose to wade upstream or along the stream mountain road. The second half of the route is steep uphill with thorns and thorns, which requires high physical strength. The valley is surrounded by dangerous mountains. The middle section is very narrow. The distance between the mountains on both sides of the stream is more than 10 meters. Intermittent mountain torrents often occur in rainy season. There are three better encampment sites along the route. One of the best camps is the empty house highland deep in the canyon. It is suggested to start from zhutongwu village in Tonglu in two days. The road on the mountain is not obvious. It is suggested to find a local uncle as a guide. Starting from zhutongwu, the first 1-2 hours' journey is rather boring, and there is no good scenery (because the stream on the mountain has been artificially diverted to the canal, so they all walk along the dry river bed). Two hours later, the scenery gradually improved, but the road was hard to walk. There are two choices: 1. Walking along the stream can save a lot of time because of its fast speed, but it's very hard to walk higher than people in the wild bamboo forest and bushes (you must wear long sleeves, trousers and hats, and you must remember them!) 2. It's a waste of time to go upstream by water. It's recommended to wear professional shoes (release shoes are also good). It's better to close your pants and try not to get wet. There are many leeches on the mountain, so they won't miss a good time to have a good meal (it's not that you can wear short sleeves to go upstream, but also long sleeves. Remember!!). All along the way are clear mountain springs, so sweet, so you don't need to bring water, just bring a water bottle. But don't be afraid of trouble. Take more socks just in case. In about 4 hours, you have to pass a small waterfall (the place where Lao Jian is shocked). You must be careful when you pass. You can walk one by one. Some of the rocks that look insignificant are very slippery. You must step on one foot before you step out the other. Reiterate: outdoor sports, safety first, avoid impetuous, avoid blind personal heroism. Five hours later, the charming xiaoyuanxi waterfall shows up in front of you, flying straight down from the cliff of 70-80 meters. With the help of the canyon wind, xiaoyuanxi waterfall looks like a pure girl with moving dancing posture. The rock beside the waterfall is different from other rocks. It is dark and shiny, full of strong quality. After one hour's rest and lunch, the guide uncle will take us to an empty house for two hours, which is also a camping place (it is suggested to set up the tent outside the house, the house is full of mountain mice, but if you are a rat catcher, you might as well live in the house, mountain mice are delicious!!). Five or six tents can be set up in the surrounding open space. The scenery of the camp is good, and the water is better. (swimming with swimsuit and mineral water is recommended to eliminate fatigue, hahaha! The next day, it's a 3-hour journey to the legendary cross Canyon and the huge stalagmite. The original name of the cross Canyon is xiaoxiyuan, because there is a sign of cross on the cliff (it may be the trace of water flow. If you go, please tell us the reason). We will walk out of xiaoyuanxi in three hours.

The whole process is hard and requires a lot of physical strength.
