brief introduction
Jintian palace is not only the main building on the south peak of Huashan Mountain, but also the most magnificent traditional palace building on Huashan Mountain. Here is dedicated to the White Emperor, so this building is also known as the White Emperor Temple. The White Emperor was Shaojiang and Shaowu. It is said that the leader of the ancient Dongyi nationality, named Zhi, was named Jintian. Among the five mountains, he is the God of Huashan. Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty named him "king of the golden heaven", while emperor Shizu of Yuan Dynasty named him "emperor of the golden heaven dalishun". Therefore, the name of "jintiangong" comes from this. Jintian palace was built in the Ming Dynasty, and was repaired during the reign of Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty. The main hall of jintiangong is made of iron tiles, with statues inside and a bell and drum tower beside the front gate. Here is a large pine forest with high branches and luxuriant leaves. There are ancient temples and paths among the trees. The scenery is very beautiful. Wang Youdan, a poet of the Qing Dynasty, wrote a poem here: "explore the secluded and desperate situation, pay homage to the top of the imperial palace. Red rock out, Qingliu tree hanging. In the window of the text, Chen zudou and Xiu gongcuo are just like wind and smoke... "
present situation
Unfortunately, all the buildings of Jintian palace were destroyed in the fire during the "Cultural Revolution". Although there are only broken walls and tiles left here, the devout pilgrims still burn incense and kowtow in the courtyard to make a wish.
