Dayun temple, formerly known as hongzang temple, is a famous Buddhist temple with a long history and grand scale. It was built by Zhang Tianxi in 363, the seventh year of liangshengping in the Sixteen States of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. In July of the first year of the early Tang Dynasty, it was rebuilt and renamed Dayun temple. Due to repeated earthquakes and wars, the temple was once damaged. In the 16th year of Hongwu (1383) of Ming Dynasty, Japanese monk Salmonella Zhiman traveled across the ocean to visit Dayun temple in Liangzhou and presided over the fund-raising and reconstruction, which is said to be a good story in the history of friendship between the Chinese and Japanese people. On April 23, 1927, when a 7.8 earthquake occurred in Hexi, Dayun temple was seriously damaged. Only the ancient bell tower in the temple existed. The ancient bell tower is built on a brick platform, 7.8 meters in the South and 125 square meters in the basement. There is a giant bell hanging upstairs. It's made of alloy. It's said to be a Tang bell. It's 2.5 meters high, 1.2 meters in diameter and weighs more than 600D kg. The bell body is made of eight ears, decorated with patterns of three layers and eighteen lattices. The first layer is decorated with flying sky, with a corolla on the head and a bright moon bell on the ear. The upper body is exposed, with a long skirt under it. The hand holds the fruit tray, and the feet explore the auspicious clouds. The second layer is decorated with the ghost family of the heavenly king. The image of the three Heavenly Kings is Wuwei, with different weapons in hand, wearing a tall hat, wearing armor, riding on a nocturnal fork, two little ghosts standing next to them, naked shorts and different expressions. Twelve wild animals are decorated at the bottom. They are similar in posture. They rush towards each other. The third layer is decorated with two squares of dragons and one of heavenly kings, and the rest is not completely worn.
