Development history

In 1991, the scenic spot at the source of Jialing River was initially developed and opened to the outside world. In May 1993, the former Ministry of forestry approved the establishment of Baoji Tiantai Mountain National Forest Park by Matoutan Forestry Bureau of Baoji City.

Jialing River source scenic area has become the nearest and largest ecotourism area to Baoji City. It was rated as one of the top ten ecotourism areas of Baoji City in 1999. The scenic spot also developed entertainment projects such as sliding rope, horse riding, archery and bonfire party.

With convenient traffic conditions, superior geographical location, natural forest environment, rich recreational activities and beautiful natural scenery, the scenic spot at the source of Jialing River in Tiantai Mountain National Forest Park has become a tourist hotspot in the West.

Tiantai Mountain is known as "the first famous mountain in southern Shaanxi" and "Tiantai ancient 18 sceneries" are well-known both inside and outside the province. However, I don't know how many years have passed and how many people have pushed it, but it still stands like a tumbler. According to legend, this flat peach stone fell from the monkey king when he ate flat peach. After a long time, it turned into a stone.

More than 100 steps away from the flat peach stone, there is another huge stone standing on the edge of the cliff. The top is flat and can hold more than 20 people. The distance between the huge stone and the platform is about 2 meters. You can jump up the huge stone. The stone is surrounded by tall trees. Sitting on the stone to play chess and read books is a rare good place. It is said that this is the place where Sima Guang once studied, which is called "reading desk".

There is a hole on the cliff of Tainan, which is called "scripture cave". It is not known who has ever collected scriptures here. There is a spring well in the middle of the platform, which is cool and mellow. It's a rare pleasure to visit here, enjoy the beautiful scenery and drink the clear spring.

The Jinlong river runs through the mountain platform. Because the riverbed is mostly sandstone, the river is clear without sediment. The color of flowers, trees and rocks on both sides of the river makes the water colorful. Xiangshuitan waterfall, located in the middle and lower section of Jinlong River, is the first waterfall in Tiantai Mountain Group, with a drop of more than 40 meters and a width of more than 20 meters. It falls in eight layers. The waterfall is full of wind and thunder, so it is called "Xiangshui". It is the most spectacular and attractive waterfall among the seven waterfalls in the scenic area. Tiantai Mountain is also a famous religious mountain, where Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism coexist.
