Yanping Lake

Yanping lake is known as "the most beautiful mountain and river in the Southeast", with unique natural landscape. It is a new tourist attraction of Nanping City, the "green treasury" in Northern Fujian. Yanping lake is an artificial lake formed after Shuikou Hydropower Station was built in 1993. It got its name because Nanping was called "Yanping mansion" in ancient times. Xiang Nan, former Secretary of Fujian provincial Party committee, named Yanping lake. Starting from Gaozhou village, Zhanghu Town, Yanping District in the middle and upper reaches of Minjiang River in the East, and close to Nanping City in the northwest, Shuicheng is 67 kilometers long and covers an area of more than 100 square kilometers, ranking first in Fujian Province. Yanping lake is a national water conservancy scenic spot.

Yanping lake has 66 bays and hundreds of branches. In midsummer, you can go boating on the lake with mountains and water around you. On the bank, you can see the green trees and bamboos dancing. The main scenic spots along the lake include Mingcui Pavilion, Shuangxi tower, Yanshou tower, Shuangjian tower, guyuezhou Island, Dazhou Island, tea ocean kiln site in Song Dynasty, Shanhu Island, snake king temple, etc.

Yanping city is famous as "southeast mountain city" and "double swords turning into dragons".

Most of the famous mountains and rivers in other places are located in remote areas far away from the city center, while Yanping is an impromptu city with a city in sight. The city is close to mountains and rivers, six bridges across the river, and Jiangbin park is located along the river. Jiufeng Mountain, Yuping mountain across the river, zangchun gorge, Shuangshi pagoda of Ming Dynasty, Shuangjian pool at the Dragon transforming sword and Mingcui Pavilion on the cliff all show the wonderful combination of man-made and nature. It is a true portrayal that "you can enjoy the beautiful scenery without going out of the city, and you can enjoy the beauty of forest and spring when you live in the downtown".

Mangdang Mountain, a provincial tourist scenic spot in Fujian Province, is known as "Fujian Lushan Mountain". It is only 15 kilometers away from the city center. It forms two long corridor scenic belts with 3800 canyons in the East and Xiyuan canyons in the west, such as Yanping surrounded by jade arms.

Yanping Lake starts from Gaozhou village of Zhanghu town in the middle and upper reaches of Minjiang River in the East and ends in Nanping City in the northwest. The water area of Yanping lake is 67 kilometers long, with a water surface area of 8000 hectares. There are more than 100 large and small reservoirs, which are rare in China. The scenery of lakes and mountains is charming, and the cultural relics are lined up to welcome visitors. There are numerous small islands in the lake, the largest of which is Dazhou island. It is an excellent place for recreation.

It is located at the confluence of Jianxi and Xixi, the source of Minjiang River. Yanping city was built on the Central Bank of the confluence of the two rivers. According to the biography of Zhang Hua in the book of Jin, when Emperor Hui of Jin was appointed magistrate of Fengcheng County in Jiangxi Province, Lei Huan got a pair of swords when he excavated the foundation of the prison house, one was Longquan, the other was tai'a. Lei Huan got the sword, sent an envoy to send a sword to Zhang Hua, the Minister of Jin Dynasty, and left a sword to wear. After Zhang Hua was killed, his sword was lost. After Lei Huan's death, Zi Lei worked in Huazhou. Once, Lei Hua took a boat from Jianxi to yanpingjin with a sword. Suddenly, the sword jumped out of its sheath and jumped into the water. They went to the bottom of the water to look for the sword, and found that the two swords had become male and female dragons nestling together. This is the origin of the legend of "transforming the sword into the dragon". Therefore, Nanping is also known as "Jianjin".

Yanping lake has "mountain and water" tourism projects, including 66 reservoir bays and hundreds of reservoir branches. Yanping lake water sports and recreation and Yanping lake water sports are compiled. In midsummer, when you take a boat to the lake, the mountains are surrounded by water; the shore is covered with green trees and bamboo trees, and the scenery is charming. The Minjiang River in history is the "golden waterway" for foreign exchange in Northwest Fujian. After the formation of Yanping lake, tea and fruit on the mountain are fragrant, and the output of fish and shrimp in the lake has doubled, becoming a scenic spot of modern sightseeing agriculture. Under the curtain of night, the silver is shining, the waves are not prosperous, the fishing fire spot is bright as stars. Occasionally, fishermen have a leisurely rest at the head of the boat, watching the night in the river and lake, listening to the music of Manxian and singing the fishing songs late. They are more relaxed and comfortable, and add a bit of water flavor.

The night tour of Yanping Lake City is very enjoyable. Cruise boats shuttle between yupingshan bridge, Jiufeng cable bridge and shuangjianhualongshui intercity. From afar, you can see the mountain peaks, the high mountains, the lake water, and the autumn wave. Yanping mountain city is full of lights. The lakeside is crowded with people, enjoying the scenery of the mountains or the water, and the fishermen, wearing moonlight and fishing rods, enjoy themselves at ease.

The development of baolongzhou Island eco-tourism project has made a new breakthrough in the tourism development of Yanping lake. 15.67 million yuan has been invested in the construction of baolongzhou mansion, Island Road and tourism wharf. The introduction of Wuyishan tourism development company invested 11 million yuan to build two luxury cruise ships to open up Yanping Lake short, medium and long-term tourism, which has been reported to the Planning Commission for project approval.

Cai Xiang, a famous Minister of the Northern Song Dynasty, wrote a poem: "the sound of the wood is bleak, and the dense haze is green. The tower stands at the confluence of two streams, and there is a sword spirit at the intersection of thunder and lightning. In Xiaoshi, there are many people, and the night pool is filled with fishing fire and fighting cold stars. The screen used to refer to the solitary boat, but today the solitary boat lives on the screen. " Guo Mo ruo wrote two poems in his travels, in which he praised: "in the past, the two swords joined together, but now we see the glory of ten thousand families." it's like being in Yuzhou when there is no day and night. Scholars of all ages have visited Jianjin and searched for the traces of swords, leaving behind many wonderful sentences.
