There are two attractions of Wudang palace. One is to see the Taoist architecture. The three complete halls allow people to appreciate the style of Yangzhou temple architecture. The second is to see the Taoist culture, showing the history, development track and historical and cultural details of Yangzhou Taoism in an all-round way.
The exhibition halls in Wudang Palace are distributed on both sides of the building, and modern technology is used to integrate the historicity, logic, popularity and knowledge interest of Yangzhou Taoist culture, showing visitors from visual, auditory and other aspects. According to the layout of Wudang palace, the exhibition hall is divided into three parts: Shanmen hall, Zhenwu hall and main hall.
Wudang Palace
Wudang palace is located at No. 300, Dongguan Street, Guangling District, Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province, China. The central axis of the palace is Shanmen, Zhenwu hall and main hall, with three rooms in width. In addition, some corridors are built on the east side. There are three ancient ginkgo trees in the courtyard.
Introduction to scenic spots
The building was originally called Zhenwu temple for its worship of Zhenwu emperor. In the third year of Xuande (1428) of Ming Dynasty, Chen Zhen, the magistrate, rebuilt the original site and rebuilt it in Jiajing. There are inscriptions written by Wang GUI, which record the scale of the building at that time. In Jiajing period, Geng, a Hanshan man, set up a stone tablet called "Wudang Palace" to pray for blessings. In 1853, most of the buildings were destroyed by the war and rebuilt again in the reign of Emperor Guangxu. In 1902, Yidong school, the first official middle school in modern Yangzhou, was founded here (the predecessor of Yangzhou middle school). After 1949, it was successively used by dongguanjie primary school and Yilei primary school. From 2007 to April 2008, it was renovated and renovated. In addition to religious use, it is also a place to display Yangzhou Taoist culture.
