Development history

Located at the foot of Huangshan Mountain, South Changshan Island, the Long Island history museum is a simple and elegant antique garden building. At present, this deep and quiet ancient architectural complex is mainly divided into curtain hall and two exhibition areas. It gives a general introduction to the history and geological evolution of Changdao, and shows the historical facts of Paleolithic period, Neolithic period and from pre Qin to the end of Qing Dynasty.

Collection

Among the cultural relics on display in the museum are the beaten stone tools of the Paleolithic period, the painted pottery of the Neolithic period, the bronzes of the Shang and Zhou dynasties, the lacquerware of the Han Dynasty, the tricolor of the Tang Dynasty, the porcelain of the Song Dynasty and the cultural relics of the Ming and Qing Dynasties Among them, bird shaped cups in pottery, yinwuliu pottery rules in matriarchal clan society, bronze tripods and square bellies in Western Zhou Dynasty, bronze beans and bronze inscriptions in Warring States period are rare treasures. After visiting the Changdao Historical Museum, many famous archaeologists commented: "although Changdao is small and has many cultural relics, it can be arranged in the order of historical development, which is rare in China's county-level museums.
