Wang Mengtai
Wang Mengtai, a historical site, is about two li away from the gate of Huashan Mountain. Wang Meng, the Prime Minister of the former Qin Dynasty, is a "first-rate general" in history (Fan Wenlan's a compendium of Chinese General History).
Before he was 33 years old, he was like the common people in those years. He was in a bumpy and homeless life. It is said that he was "hidden in Huayin mountain (Huashan) from about 345 to 357 A.D." (the book of Jin) and here "with the will of the world, hope the Lord of Longyan, gather wings to wait for the time, wait for the storm and then move." (Book of Jin). It is said that there is a "school general platform" not far away from this station, which is also the trace of Wang Meng's troops stationed here.
In the 10th year of Yonghe (354) of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Huan Wen defeated Fu Jian and entered Guanzhong. Wang Meng went out of the mountain to visit Bashang, where he talked about the current situation. Huan Wen gave chariots and horses, worshipped high officials, and invited Wang Meng to return them to Jiangnan. Wang Meng did not accept it and returned to Huashan. Fu Jian of the former Qin Dynasty knew that Wang Meng had the talent to assist the world. He called him to Chang'an and worshipped him as a counselor. Later, he became an official to the prime minister. In 368, Fu Jian ordered Wang Meng to garrison troops in Huayin. Jiandong mountain was the Chinese side, and its upper terrace was the place where Wang Meng garrisoned troops, so it was named Wang Mengtai. The terrace is wide, a bit of Jiangtai and other sites. After Wang Meng died, he was buried in Hualu. There is a tomb site of Wang Meng in the southwest of Xiguan village, Huayin City. "Wang Mengtai" was written by Baishan Da Lishan during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty.
