Chiang Kai Shek Memorial

Located on the campus of National Sun Yat sen University to the north of xiziwan, Jianggong memorial is a two-story Western-style building built by Peng Qingyue, a famous doctor of Kaohsiung during the Japanese occupation It was built in 1937. The Chiang Kai Shek memorial hall has two floors. The Xiwan Art Gallery consists of the original exhibition room on the first floor, together with kitchen, retinue and bathroom. The whole space can be used as static exhibits. The wall can be used to display paintings. Museum of historical relics

The Museum of historical relics was originally the site of the old British Consulate, which is known as the first foreign building in Taiwan. In 1860, the Treaty of Beijing opened four ports in Taiwan, including dog beating, Anping, Danshui and chicken coop. Britain took the lead in setting up a consulate in Taiwan. In 1864, the British Consulate moved from Danshui to dog beating. The British Consulate of the former Qing Dynasty was built in 1866. In 1860, after the Allied forces of Britain and France signed the Treaty of Tianjin, China was forced to open five ports for trade. In the third year, Taiwan's Dagou port (today's Kaohsiung port) was enlarged.

In 1866, a British consulate was set up on the hill of the bow of the sentry ship at Dagou harbor to handle customs duties and business affairs.

According to the literature, this western style building with red brick to the top was built by the British merchant Tianli company and rented by the first British Consul in Dagou.

It was built between 1865 and 1866. Among the existing Western-style modern buildings in Taiwan, it can be listed as the No.1 western style building in Taiwan. At the same time, it is also the first consulate officially built by foreigners in the Qing Dynasty in Taiwan. Trapped in the north of the town, it is a precious historic site in Kaohsiung. The eighteen princes' temple is adjacent to the British Consulate of Dagou in the former Qing Dynasty. It has the Fujian style of "carving buildings and painting beams".
