Located at 49 Guantao Road, Shibei District, Qingdao, the road traffic museum is the first professional museum with the theme of road traffic in China. The museum also opens Qingdao ticket Museum opposite the main museum.

The museum is divided into three regions: the south, the middle and the north. The collection is very rich, ranging from precious historical objects, photos to multimedia technology.

Venue composition

The road traffic museum opens from 9:00 to 16:30 and closes on Monday. The ticket is 30 yuan per person. In addition to paper tickets, each visitor is also given a "chocolate ticket" to eat. Students in school, the elderly over 60 years old (including 60 years old), the elderly under 70 years old (excluding 70 years old), active servicemen, disabled persons of grade 5-10 can enjoy half price discount with relevant certificates; children less than 1.2 meters tall, the elderly over 70 years old (including 70 years old) and disabled persons of grade 1-4 can visit free of charge.

When you enter daobo, you will find that the collection is very rich. You can see the emperor's chariot and ox chariot of ancient road traffic, the objects and sculptures of the Silk Road and ancient plank road, as well as the replica of the old chariot of the carriage shop and Empress Dowager Cixi.

"In the form of bus stops, daobo exhibition can be divided into six chapters: starting the source of industry, bumpy itinerary, carrying historical responsibilities, embarking on the journey of reform, striving with pride, and realizing the dream of rejuvenation." Liu zengping, general manager of Qingdao cultural media company of Jiaoyun group, said. In the daobo exhibition hall, the audience can enjoy the sand shadow art film "Ancient Road Customs", which reflects the ancient road traffic form of China. The scene of "carriage shop" restores the historical features, and makes people feel the historical imprint of the transformation of means of transportation.

"The earliest bus station scene restoration in China" is one of the important contents of daobo. Xu Meng, a commentator, introduced that on May 11, 1910, the governor of jiaoao (jiaoao was formerly known as Qingdao) ordered that the freighter Richards firm continue to operate the shuttle bus to Mecklenburg and Shazikou.

The shuttle bus to mclenburg departs from the Central Hotel at 7 a.m. on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. In order to facilitate the passengers living in the north section of Kaiser str. today's Guantao Road, the departure place was extended to the north side of German Seamen's senior apartment in July of the same year.

At first, there was no building in the bus station, just a sign on the side of the road, where people were waiting for the bus. Waiting for the bus brought business, and it became a distribution center for people to take the bus, which naturally formed the rudiment of Guantao road bus station, the earliest bus station in China. The scene is composed of sound, light, electricity, painting and objects.

In the exhibition hall on the second floor of daobo, tourists are very interested in a hand-operated generator. Many tourists "generate electricity" by themselves, and then listen to the voice of Chairman Mao announcing the founding of new China on October 1, 1949. According to the staff, the generator was donated by enthusiastic citizens. It not only has good performance, but also is very rare.

On the driving simulator of the exhibition hall on the second floor, visitors can simulate the driving scene in person and enjoy the scene. In addition, tourists can also experience the imaginative road traffic ring screen film in the future. With the play of the film, tourists' seats will shake and sway with the ups and downs of the road, and tourists can't help exclaiming: "it's too real, as if they have entered a new future traffic world!"

In the tourist center opposite the daobo Transportation Museum, the daobo ticket museum is also opened.

The ticket museum is not only the tourist service center of the road traffic Museum, but also the exit for passengers to get off the Qingxi express. As area C of the road traffic Museum, it is open to passengers and citizens for free.

Collection treasures

In the ticket Museum, more than 1000 tickets of various road traffic in Qingdao are displayed. The time span is from the Republic of China to modern times. The earliest ticket is a ticket of Jiaolai District automobile and Highway Bureau in the Republic of China. This ticket shows that the route is from Mayi station to dianzi station. The ticket price is one yuan and one jiao, and it is engraved with the stamp of the stationmaster.

In the early days of liberation, the bus tickets with the face value of "five hundred yuan" and "one thousand yuan", the "quotation ticket" in the 1970s, the three wheel ticket, the monthly ticket in the 1980s, the taxi ticket in the 1990s, and the bus tickets, customized bus tickets, warm school bus cards, and sightseeing tickets for the 2014 Qingdao World Horticultural Exposition from 2000 to the near future are also on display. In addition to tickets, the museum also displays old items such as ticket bags, ticket checking tools and ticket holders, which remind people of the history of Qingdao.

In December 2015, it won the title of "national road traffic workers' cultural education demonstration site".

In January 2016, it won the title of five-star on-site management and "top ten maker space" in Shandong Province.

In December 2016, it was named the first batch of national defense education bases by Qingdao municipal government.

In April 2017, it was named "social classroom" by Qingdao Education Bureau.

In December 2017, the list of the new batch of "patriotic education foundation" named by the Publicity Department of Qingdao municipal Party committee was announced, and the (China) road traffic Museum won the title of "Qingdao patriotic education foundation".
