Historical evolution

Luohe Vocational and technical college, formerly known as Henan Provincial Yancheng middle school, was founded in October 1945 and renamed Luohe municipal middle school at the end of 1948 (private Yinbei middle school, private tailing middle school and private Peiying middle school were merged at the same time);

From 1953 to 1988, the school changed its name several times, and finally became the first vocational high school in July 1988. In 1993, it was incorporated into Luohe University;

In March 1999, Luohe University, Luohe Industrial school, Luohe finance and economics secondary vocational school and Luohe workers University merged and established Luohe Vocational and technical college with the approval of the Ministry of education;

In January 2001, Henan township enterprise technical secondary school was merged into Luohe Vocational and technical college;

In May 2002, Luohe art normal school, the largest in China and the only professional art normal school in Henan Province, was merged into Luohe Vocational and technical college;.

In August 2015, the college was selected as one of the first batch of 100 Higher Vocational Colleges in China by the Ministry of education.

In May 2016, Luohe Institute of technology of Henan University of technology, jointly founded by Luohe Municipal People's government and Henan University of technology, was established in Luohe Vocational and technical college;

In April 2017, the college established Xushen Culture College (Xushen College).

In October 2019, it passed the acceptance of the first batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units of the Ministry of education.
