Yushu is known as "the source of rivers, the origin of famous mountains, the land of yaks, the hometown of singing and dancing", "the ancient road of Tang and fan" and "the water tower of China". The mother rivers of the Chinese nation, the Yangtze River, the Yellow River and the Mekong River (Lancang River), the largest river in Southeast Asia, all originate in Yushu. The majestic Tanggula and the vast Kunlun Mountains give birth to the hardworking, forthright, hardworking and indomitable character of the Kangba children in Yushu.
