Ningbo art museum is a large public welfare cultural facility built by Ningbo Municipal Party committee and government. It was completed and officially opened in October 2005. The aim of the museum is to base itself on Ningbo, look at the whole country and face the contemporary era. The goal is to build a first-class modern art museum with high-grade characteristics of the port city. Through exhibition, collection, research, display and promotion of the excellent works of Ningbo artists and famous artists at home and abroad, the development of culture and art in Ningbo is promoted.

Ningbo art museum is a public institution affiliated to Ningbo Federation of literary and art circles, with a construction area of 23100 square meters, 11 exhibition halls, a total of more than 5300 square meters, more than 1600 meters of exhibition line, 1500 square meters of art collection library, academic lecture hall, multimedia demonstration hall, artist creation room, art database, art salon, training center, gallery, etc. it is a collection, storage and array exhibition It is a comprehensive art museum with the functions of exhibition, academic research, internal and external exchanges, and artistic creation.

Architectural features

Ningbo art museum is composed of the main building, stage square, cafe, underground garage, wharf and other parts, covering an area of 15800 square meters, with a construction area of more than 23100 square meters, including 16200 square meters of the main building, 5300 square meters of large and small exhibition halls, and more than 1500 square meters of art collection library. It can hold different types of exhibitions and different themes at the same time or separately. The exhibition hall is equipped with advanced facilities and services such as central air conditioning system, constant temperature and humidity system, central monitoring system, fire alarm system, gas fire extinguishing system, automatic sprinkler system, indoor fire hydrant, 24-hour alarm and security duty system. In addition, there are exhibition hall, art gallery, VIP lounge, academic lecture hall, artist studio, art salon, art education center, gallery, art supplies store and other advanced supporting facilities. It is a modern and high-grade plastic art museum integrating exhibition, collection and protection, academic research, art exchange, art education, cultural leisure and other functions. Organization setup

The leading group of Ningbo art museum is the leading and decision-making center of Ningbo Art Museum, which is responsible for the major decision-making and administrative affairs of Ningbo Art Museum. There are six departments and one room, namely, the party and government office, academic collection department, exhibition department, education and development department, equipment information department, foreign affairs department and security department. The directors of each department constitute the middle-level leaders of the museum. Party and government office

The party and government office is the comprehensive coordination and Management Department of the museum, which is responsible for the personnel, finance, secretarial work, archives, publicity report and book reading room work of the museum; responsible for arranging various meetings, daily reception, external liaison, letters and visits, and assisting the director to complete other daily affairs and coordinate with various departments.

Academic collection department

Based on the goal of exploring the scientific development road of Modern Art Museum, the academic orientation of "based on Ningbo, looking at the whole country, facing the contemporary and taking into account the history" has been established. Excellent works of Ningbo artists and famous artists at home and abroad have been collected and displayed, and relevant academic research activities have been carried out.

Exhibition Department

It is responsible for the design, production and arrangement of various exhibition activities in the art museum.
