Yedong River

It is located in yedonghe township of Huangping County, 28 kilometers away from Huangping County in the East and 50 kilometers away from Fuquan City in the west, with a total area of 42 square kilometers. Yedonghe river is a typical karst drifting scenic spot with beautiful natural scenery. It integrates strange mountains, beautiful waters, karst caves, waterfalls and dense forests. Because of the uniqueness of one river passing through two caves, it is known as "China's unique drifting scenery in caves".

Yedong River

Yedong river is the main tributary of Chong'an river. It originates from Longdong River in Weng'an county of Qiannan Prefecture and flows through Weng'an, Fuquan and Huangping. The river is clear to the bottom, and there are overlapping peaks on both sides. The full name is 18 kilometers. There are two natural bridges in the whole basin. Shangyedong Tianshengqiao is located at the junction of Weng'an xijiazhai and Fuquan Tongbing. The cave is 80 meters high and more than 100 meters deep. The river passes through the cave. The waterfall in the cave has skylight, unique stalactite and qianqiutian canal. Next to the cave, there is a trunk cave, 20 meters high and 10 meters wide, which forms twin caves in the water cave.

In February 2020, from the end of the epidemic to December 31, 2020, the scenic spot will provide free services to medical workers all over the country.

Xiayedong Tianshengqiao cave is 15 meters high, the lowest is 2 meters, and the cave is 100 meters long. The stalactite landscape in the cave is unique. According to Huangping county annals, "the lower reaches of the Wumei River pass through the mountains for more than a mile, with no light in the middle. Those who put the wood join three or four trees to form rafts and drive from the inside.". It is a unique scene of drifting in cave in Guizhou Province. Up to now, visitors to Yedong River come in an endless stream.

Along the Yedong River, there is a 120 meter high waterfall, Feishui cliff, Lianshui waterfall group, Panlong mountain, and a pair of towering boulders. Tianzui waterfall is 130 meters high and flows into Longtan, which is more than 30 meters deep and 60 meters wide. It is the most beautiful place in yedonghe scenic area, just like a white dragon crossing into Qingtan. Yedong river is a collection of strange mountains, stones, waterfalls, trees and water. On both sides of the river, there are not only magnificent cliffs, but also monkeys and wild boars. There are swordfish, giant salamander and crab in the river. In the lower reaches, there is a shallow river four kilometers wide and covered with fine Guanghua pebbles. It can be said that nature's uncanny craftsmanship has created a wonderful scene for the world.

Yedong River, also known as wengma River, originates from Zhujiashan primeval forest, 30 kilometers away from Huangping county. It is the main tributary of Chong'an river. The river flows through Chongren rural area, forming a "V" shaped Canyon 20 kilometers away. There are two natural born bridges in the valley, which can be called the peerless scenery.

The first one is located at the junction of Huangping and Fuquan counties. The bridge is more than 40 meters wide. The cave is spacious and bright. Stalactites of different shapes are all over the cave top and wall. The water in the cave forms a waterfall, and the beads and rain float and sprinkle. There are farmers living on the bridge. Rice fields, farmhouses and mountains and waters are integrated into a picture of Xianqiao farmhouse praised by adults.

Nearly 10 kilometers down the river is the second Tiansheng bridge, known locally as Xiaye cave. The span of this cave bridge is nearly 100 meters, and the length of the cave under the bridge is more than 100 meters. The river passes through the cave, and the entrance is just the size of a rubber boat for three people. After passing through the 20 meter long corridor of the cave, there are two connected cave halls. The stalactites on the top and the wall of the cave are distributed in different places, some like lotus flowers, some like Arhats. For thousands of years, the muddy groundwater has formed layers of stone curtains and stone mantles. The cool water from the top to the bottom has formed beads and rain. The rubber boats wander through the cave. In addition to reaching out to touch the stalactites on the bottom, they also feel the stimulation of the rain in the cave. After leaving the cave, there is a 120 meter high Feishuiya waterfall 2 kilometers downstream.

Looking up at the waterfall, the water falls from the cloud cliff and falls to the bottom of the valley, forming a scene of bead rain, mist flying, smoke rising, sunshine and rainbow flying. Close to the waterfall, it looks like snow in winter. There is a 200 square meter erosion pool at the foot of the waterfall. The waterfall has been scouring for many years, forming a concave convex curved calcified stone frame, just like a curved dragon, lying on the edge of the pool, more like a skirt.

It is said that Fairies in the sky often come down here to take a bath. When the queen mother finds that they take off their clothes and skirts. It's really indecent, she asks Lei Gong to send a message and call them back to court. Because of panic, she falls down with a skirt. From then on, this skirt will always fall on the earth and stay at the foot of Feishuiya waterfall. Down the stream, there are water curtain waterfall group, Panlong stone, human face stone and other landscapes. In the valley, the strange mountains, stones, waterfalls, caves and beautiful water are integrated, which can be called beautiful and magical. Wang Chaowen, former governor of Guizhou Province and chairman of the Ethnic Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress, wrote in praise of "the wild cave river is a unique scene of drifting in the cave" after two rafting visits to Yedong River in 1999 and 2002. Yang Shengming, director of Guizhou Provincial Tourism Bureau, inscribed "beautiful and magical Yedong River" after investigation. Yedong river is the only drifting wonder in Guizhou, which attracts many tourists.
