Engineering College of Nanjing Agricultural University is one of the birthplaces of agricultural engineering discipline in China, which is the combination and development of the two earliest agricultural engineering departments in China, the former Agricultural Engineering Department of Jinling University and the former Agricultural Engineering Department of Central University.

Engineering College of Nanjing Agricultural University is a secondary college of Nanjing Agricultural University.

In 1952, the former Department of agricultural engineering of Central University and the Department of agricultural engineering of Jinling University merged and established the Department of agricultural mechanization of Nanjing Agricultural University. In the same year, East China Agricultural Mechanization School (renamed Nanjing Agricultural Mechanization School in 1955) was established in Pukou campus. In 1958, the Department of agricultural mechanization and Nanjing Agricultural Mechanization School of Jiangsu Province merged and established the Agricultural Mechanization School of Nanjing Agricultural University In 2000, the agricultural mechanization branch of Nanjing Agricultural University was renamed as Engineering College of Nanjing Agricultural University.

As of September 2019, according to the official website of the college, the campus area of the college is 716 mu, with 4 departments and 12 undergraduate majors; it has 1 post doctoral research mobile station, 1 first-class discipline doctoral program, 3 second-class discipline doctoral programs, 3 first-class discipline master programs, 9 second-class discipline master programs, 3 professional master degree authorization categories and 4 professional master degree authorization fields; there are 4 teaching staff in total There are 50 full-time teachers, 233 full-time teachers, 17 full-time professors and 75 associate professors. Historical evolution

In 1952, the former Department of agricultural engineering of Central University and the Department of agricultural engineering of Jinling University merged to form the Department of agricultural mechanization of Nanjing Agricultural University. In the same year, East China mechanized agricultural school was established in Pukou campus.

In 1955, East China Agricultural Mechanization School was renamed Nanjing Agricultural Mechanization School.

In 1958, the Department of agricultural mechanization and Nanjing Agricultural Mechanization School of Jiangsu Province merged to establish the agricultural mechanization branch of Nanjing Agricultural University.

In 1970, the agricultural mechanization branch of Nanjing Agricultural University moved to Zhenjiang, merged with Zhenjiang agricultural machinery University (now Jiangsu University), and abolished Nanjing Agricultural Mechanization School.

In 1974, Nanjing Agricultural Mechanization School was restored.

In 1979, the Department of agricultural mechanization of Zhenjiang Agricultural Machinery College was established.

In 1982, the Mechanization Department of Jiangsu Institute of technology was established.

In 1985, he moved back to the original site of Puzhen and established the College of agricultural engineering of Nanjing Agricultural University.

In 2000, the College of agricultural engineering of Nanjing Agricultural University changed its name to College of technology
